if you believe you are anointed, please give the details on how you came to this conclusion.
this is not a judgemental post, so all those with negative comments please keep them to yourself.

The annointed "class" is a sheer fabrication of the WTS. They didn't even always have such a teaching. The theology only developed to help explain why their 'end of the world' propheies didn't come to pass. One more reason to reject it!

i know this part of jw.com is about 'friends" and i also know that i don't have any, or very few of them.
the friends i do have are awesome, and the friends i don't have don't know what they are missing!.
that being said, several human beings have asked me to provide them access to some of the music i have recorded in the last few years.. since i happen to be working on a website that i can get access to, i uploaded some of my stuff there.

i was taking a break from this board but in a last few days there has been unexpected development in my own family.
my mom is leaving wtbs!!!
she apparently celebrated christmas with dad but even that was just a tip of the iceberg.
Wow, that's great!! Is your mom the only one who was in? Is your family all intact now? Oh, I do hope so!!! Thanks so much for sharing this. And I hope you will explain what helped her decide to leave--was it the internet?

What an excellent letter! You didn't just argue doctrine, but talked very intelligently about WHY they are a cult. Not simply because they believe something differently than you, but because there is NO ROOM for individual thought!
Because you pointed these out so well, I think that if he continues into the WTS he'll be remembering these points and recognizing what you said as they start to become evident.
You may have to wait (I hope not!!!), but those were great seeds and you planted them well.

You might say, Mom, I will gladly take those things down if you can help me see I was wrong about them. Research further than me and convince me, and then I will easily do as you say.

How do you turn off that voice? You can't. BUT, you can counter it by saying that you want to know what is true no matter where it will lead. And you will look at everything as honestly and with as much integrity as you can, whether pro-JW or anti-JW. Psalm 18:17 says, "The first to present his case seems right, until another comes forward and questions him." Honest cross-examination is the answer, and God expects you to do it.

thinking is difficult.
thinking is complex.
to think well is a laborious, often, painstaking process until one becomes accustomed to being " thoughtful.
Interesting thoughts...
He forgot to mention that after a while, thinking can give you a really great big headache.
Even so, I find that being thoughtful is a bit addictive, because so many times the insights you get more than make up for the headaches.

so, it was my daughter's birthday on the 2nd of february.. she is being raised jw and i sent her an email birthday card.. i get this note as a response: (mind you, it may be from her mother).

Sheesh, is she a JW or not?
I would be tempted to send her US govt savings bonds, and make her wait on her dear gov't! Or a certificate showing a contribution for a college education.
Send a cute little snoopy doll too, so she can't say you didn't give her anything... Or maybe a Starbux card for coffee. That fits nicely into a card ya know.
