  Would you do this to your kids? Is this cold or am I crazy?

  my mentally in jw wife is trying to organize a "princess party" for my 4 year old daughter and her little cousins and friends.

  she was looking at prices of a tent for the backyard party in case it rains.

  she asked the hardware store how much and they said 90 dollars for the day.

  Heaven is For real - Akiane Kramarik / Col,Todd- Visions of Heaven , real or imaginned

  today, i watched a movie called" heaven is for real", before we go any further i want to say i have become an atheist having been exposed to christianity from an early age with different denominations up into my teens , and then being converted to a jehovahs witness for 33 years , and then disaccociating myself from that religion some years ago.. however i am intrigued with what i have witnessed today , not only the movie , but where it has led me.

  fair enough , movies take liberties in what they present even with so called true stories , i can live with that.. i think their has been a lot said about col and his pastor father being an influence on his sons visions.i can live with that too.. in the movie col todd related to the painting akiane kramarik made about jesus ?

  they never knew anything about one another.

  I read a lot of near death experiences and a lot of books about it.

  Due to these accounts I came to believe that there is some kind of afterlife. Those experiences show that the most important things in life are unconditional love and compassion.

  Why do I believe that we pass somehow in another world?

  All kind of people have these experiences, no matter if children, adult, from all different cultural background and religion. Most experiences have similar characteristics, coming to a light, feeling or communicating with a higher power that is full of love, a review of all actions in life and how these made others feel, higher awareness and knowledge, seeing or feeling deceased loved ones.

  Several factors convince me. 1. that people see themselves out of their body and they can relate in detail things they can not know (like conversations that happened in other rooms etc.).

  2. Near death experiences of children. Children would never make them up. 3. Blind or death people from birth on were able to see or hear during the NDE and give details about it. 4. All those experiences say it was a highly conscious experience not like a dream but real. Dreams normally end anytime (even apruptly). NDE s have usually a clear ending (with the sending back or decision to go back). 5. A NDE can influence a person for all his life.

  The two elders visited my sister again

  i phoned my sister and she told me that yesterday the two elders visited her again.

  she lives in a latin country (as i do).

  and as i shown before, just two weeks ago, these elders visited my sister because she is not attending the meetings.

  Your sister is very intelligent. Too intelligent for these elders.

  I tell you, to try to show the elders the organisation was wrong on so many things is actually a waste of time. Finally they will come with the loyalty question 'Do you believe the faithful and discreet slave is gods channel.' If she answers with no, they will df her for apostasy if she talks to another brother or sister about it.

  it's about a year since i started visiting this website.

  it all started with the july 15 wt last year and all the changes.

  lazy me had not read it online so when one bro said to me at the hall, 'have you read all the new stuff in that issue' i didn't know what he was talking about.

  I was also an elder and I tried to figure out how I could resign.

  One day I told my wife that due to doubts I have I can no longer be an elder. I called the Cobe and wrote a letter of resignation due to doubts.

  I had to explain everything to the CO and then it was such a liberating feeling not being an elder anymore. Like a huge wheight lifted from my shoulders.

  Over about 1 year the elders tried to reason with me on my doubts afterwards. But if you stand firm they will loose the interest.

  When I look back I gave them too much authority. I should have said. My faith is between me and Jehovah. There is no need for lengthx discussions.

  always the fashionista amongst the governing body members, mr. stephen lett recently showed us how even an older man can display a certain swagger, a certain je nesais quoi that says, "i'm one of the anointed, and you're not!".

  he does this in so many ways, but the one i want to draw our attention to is the way he rocked the theocratic fashion world with his wearing of a very manly pinkie ring in a recent wtbts video.. - -.

  I asked my mum (who saw that video at the convention today) what she thinks about Stephen Lett.

  She answered. "Oh yes, he makes gestures with all his face. He is such a passionate speaker. I would have loved to meet him and talk to him. He must be such a friendly and passionate person."

  I replied. "...and he loves big rings on little fingers."

  in the last 6 months my family and i have stopped attending cold turkey.

  it is incredible to me to see how our so called friends have dropped us like we were a snake covered in spiders.

  we actually havent really said anything to anybody about why we stopped.

  Continue to show neighbourly love in your life.

  You said you don't celebrate holidays. Maybe reconsider birthdays. Jobs sons celebrated birthdays according to Job 1:4 and Job 3:1. The bible doesn't say a word against it.

  Good luck... you will find some new friends.

  When a brother goes on stage at an international convention, every detail what he says and how he looks like is monitored.

  If a gb member like Lett is giving a talk in a video, even more every little detail has a meaning. Like the pillars in the background or even his tie.

  During that video he shows many times his big 'pinky' ring on his right little finger.

  What the hell is that ring supposed to mean?

  In the 50s to 70s it was a sign for homosexuality.

  Or I also read somewherw it could be a sign for intelligence.

  Whatever the meaning, this video shows plain clear how intelligent this fellow is.

  I am wondering what the thousands in attendance of the international conventions think personally of that clown.

  Something Big is Coming...

  the annual meeting of the governing body of jehovah's witnesses will be in october 2014.. .. in november 2013, just after the last one they published this now famous statement in the 15th of november 2013 watchtower page 16 paragraph 17 says:.

  "at that time, the lifesaving direction that we receive from jehovahs organization may not appear practical from a human standpoint.

  all of us must be ready to obey any instructions we may receive, whether these appear sound from a strategic or human standpoint or not.".
