current update- the wife and i are separated.
i dont go to the meetings or in service but im not df, or da.
she is not budging.. problem- my wife has made it clear that she doesnt want me back unless i do all the witness stuff, i have even offered to attend meetings but not participate in commenting or go in service and this is not good enough.
I am in the exactly same situation.
However at the moment I don't feel the desire or need to actively look for a new girlfriend or wife. I am concentrating on my son now.
But maybe the time will come when I fall in love again. I don't care too much if they would df me at that moment. I know for sure that my father and mother will never shun me, as they don't agree with shunning too.
so the "cong bible reading " section to be covered for this week is from deuteronomy 28-31.... have you ever read this section????

I nearly threw up if I meditated about these curses, especially the eating of children etc.
Wow, daily Bible reading, especially the old testament, is soooo rewarding for everyday life. And I forgot; poor children hearing these things in the KH (if they listen).
i celebrated halloween and my birthday and the elders have been told.
husband told the elders i've called the religion a cult.
they said i'm "heading down a road to be an apostate.
They can only df you if you celebrated a "religious" holiday.
So celebrating birthdays is not a problem as it is not religious.
By the way according to Job 1:4 Jobs sons celebrated birthdays. That really a birthday is meant is confirmed by Job 3:1 where the same hebrew word is used.
And good luck. I hope you can succeed to teach your children critical thinking skills that they will be able to make their own decisions concerning religion when they are old enough.

yesterday, my wife was getting ready for the kh and told the kids that they had to get ready too.
i figured, oh well, they're heading to the hall at least i can get the time i need to catch up on some house work and what not.
before i know it, the wife gave up and allowed the kids to stay.
You did great. You strengthened your childrens thinking skills.

i agree with the witnesses about almost nothing, but i do think they have the right idea when it concerns the 'soul'.
it is my belief that there is no such entity as a 'soul' that resides in a human being.
the idea originated in ancient, pre-scientific eras.
How can you be so sure and dogmatic about it?
