  Did judge Rutherford piss off Hitler

  the jws at the time in germany where considered part of the aryan race, (since they were not jews).

  then things changed for the jws after rutherford mailed a letter to hitler bragging about jehovahs kingdom on earth.. so can we add this to the bloodshed that that the watchtower corp is responsible for?.

  Do you conclude that standing in opposition to the Nazi government meant to be guilty of bloodshed?

  How would you have reacted if you had lived during those times?

  Would you have nodded your head, say "Heil Hitler" and go along with the masses?

  I am an ex jw. But I think they truly deserve our highest respect to go finally against the Hitler government.

  That Rutherford first tried to appease Hitler is shocking for all jw's.

  Hitler was a mentally diseased crazy guy. You can't blame Rutherford for pissing him off.

  The JW religion has just cost me my marriage & my family life

  after leaving the organisation 10 years ago i fought with everything i had to stay in my marriage and with my three children.

  after a tumultuous number of years trying to maintain a happy family life while living in a divided home, it's finally over.

  the religion is single handedly responsible for destroying my marriage and my family.

  The same happened to my marriage. I have a boy who is 2.5 years old.

  The only advice I can give you. Continue to be a wonderful and loving dad to your children. Fight hard for your time with them. Don't let them be separated from you. Further their desire to question things and critically think. And don't speak in a negative way about their mum. Give them love, freedom and most certainly show them that love is unconditional.

  i stopped (after some 17 years) visiting meetings etc.

  my intellect and conscience could not longer stand the lectures from the platform and in the magazines.

  Hi and welcome

  I understand that you wish that your wife is taking your course.

  But think. We all have religious freedom. She can decide for herself what she believes and what religious practices she wants to follow. That's a human right.

  If you try to pressure her, she will even more remain on the course what she believes to be right.

  Only if she sees for herself what is wrong in jw land, she might be ready to leave. That takes time and a lot of patience, understanding and love from your side.

  I can't believe what you just wrote. At least try to spell right.

  "I really wish these losers would do there time in a North Korean gulag."

  Conscientious objectors (be it JWs or other individuals) are NOT LOSERS. They deserve our highest respect, especially when they are facing prison or discrimination. They are much stronger than any person fighting in a war just "following orders" of their military.

  Any civilized country should grant human rights to its citizens, even if it means allowing for an alternative civil service for those whose consciences doesn't allow to kill another human being (no matter if the conflict is morally justifiable).

  South Korea has to still learn a lot about human rights.

  And Clambake:

  Would you have refused to say "Heil Hitler" if you lived during Nazi time?

  I am an ex jw but I think jws can be proud of their history during nazi time and also their conscientous objectors.

  Something terrible has just happened

  the neighbor child came over to play with my youngest child.

  i think she's about 4 maybe 5. well anyway there was some strawberries out on the counter and she asked if she could have one and i said no.

  when i looked over later i saw her sneak one.

  there is a huge difference between been religious and been spiritual.

  been religious is about been superior to others in the sight of god.

  however, been spiritual is about self awareness, inner peace and unity with the natural world.

  at the end of april, there was a zone visit in france, with tv broadcast in all kh.. g. losch told he received a letter from a girl, 10 years old, baptised at 5, reg pioneer since 4 years !

  what a fine example, he said....... let s imagine the faces of the parents in the kh!

  i was happy to see i was not the only one to find it crazy.. if you have a child, you know how mature he is at 5. how can a child preach 2.5hours/day after 7hours of school and homework to do??

  German Branch visit talk Mark Sanderson (Parents; don't hinder young children to get baptized)

  the video streaming of the german branch visit program was excrutiating 3.5 hours long.. i just went to see the last 45 min (part of mark sandersons talk).. i think sanderson is quite a sympathetic speaker and he kind of made a loving impression.. he didn't mention controversial stuff (except for one thing i will come to soon).

  he mostly talked about how to find joy, even when life is not easy, and how much the gb loves the rank and file.. one point seemed soooo important to him.
