since coming out of the witnesses, i have gone through a transformation in thought and in mind.
i started with the usual: i thought that jesus was god.
then i investigated more about the bible and thought that the bible was not true, given the many contradictions, failed prophecies, etc.. then i investigated evolution and read lots and now i accept evolution and natural selection as things that are true.. now, i need to make my dad rethink everything.
Check and research "Chauvet Cave" and especially "Cosquer Cave."
"Cosquer Cave" has excellent proof, that not even JWs are able to refute. The only cave entrance is 41 metres below sea surface. So the people painting must have entered, as the sea level was much lower than today. This is a proof, that they could enter only during the ice ages much more than 6000 years ago when the sea level was more than 100 metres lower than today.
i haven't seen anything about this in the news here in the u.s. do the jehovah's witnesses here know what is going on over there?

Of course they knew about it. That was the only reason AM3 spoke in the broadcast of this month about child abuse.

only one remains as elder, three were re-appointed as ms, and one, the cobe was deleted entirely.. two new elders were brought in as new secretary and cobe / watchtower conductor, respectively, and introduced to the congregation from the platform on sunday immediately following his second talk.
he reminded everybody of the authority he has and then named the new appointees.
When I stepped back as an elder (reason doubts) the Cobe first wanted that I continue serving as a MS.
I told him that my doubts are too strong. After debating, the boe accepted my stepping back.
I think the question is not if it is in US branch or not. The rules are the same for all branches.
If the co thinks that those elders are better in their positions as ms, he can suggest that to the branch, or maybe just decide it for himself

Concerning your kids I encourage you to read the book "Raising freethinkers - A practical guide for parenting beyond belief."
This book especially chapter 3 contains excellent advice how to help your kids become freethinkers and how to counteract on religious indoctrination.
