"Whether it be the blood issue (children have died on tables) or Nazi Germany/Malawi...."
I agree that the blood issue has cost many lives. But I don't agree at all what you write about Nazi Germany. How the witnesses reacted during Nazi Germany times is something they can truly be proud of. Most Germans went with the majority and hailed Hitler as their leader and saviour. The witnesses were among the minority who couragously used their mental faculties at that time even if it meant torture and death.
I live in Switzerland and in Germany.

FuGK This Religion- Stop Ruining My Life!!!
by wallievase ini am sorry for the title but today just took the cake.
after not going to the meetings since august and trying to sort through this with my family, my wife today told me she wants to separate because of our differences over being a witness or not.. this is ridiculous.
so i said- how can you separate from me when the religion you whole heartedly believe says you can only separate for 3 reasons- abuse, willful non-support, or stopping her from her meeting attendance, etc.

Islam - Where Does This End?
by Sam Whiskey indoes this end with them actually attempting to take over the world as they profess to want to do?
granted, they are "extremists", but can they really garner enough extremist converts to make a run at it?
keep in mind, i have no fear of them.

Of course I am shocked and sad about what is happening there.
History is repeating itself that in the name of God, the most horrible things happen.
Nevertheless. IS IS NOT ISLAM. They are brainwashed fundamentalists who exist also in other religions.

Evidence of life after death?
by little_Socrates inhttp://www.independent.co.uk/news/science/life-after-death-largestever-study-provides-evidence-that-out-of-body-and-neardeath-experiences-may-actually-be-real-9780195.html.
"experts currently believe that the brain shuts down within 20 to 30 seconds of the heart stopping beating and that it is not possible to be aware of anything at all once that has happened.. but scientists in the new study heard said they heard compelling evidence that patients experienced real events for up to three minutes after this had happened and could recall them accurately once they had been resuscitated.".
how are people having "experinces" while there is no evidence of heart or brain activity?.

Probably humans will never be able to scientific evidence of a possible afterlife.
Nevertheless these near death experiences contain elements that can not be put aside and just explained scientifically. For example when someone is clinically dead or has no brain function and explains in detail what doctors or family members said or did, even in other rooms of the hospital.
JWs would say that the demons were involved.

Don't say "the truth", say the Jehovah's Witness religion
by hoser inwhen i meet up with a jay dubya i've never met before and the conversation inevitably turns to "so where did you learn the truth?
i reply" my parents joined the jehovahs witness religion in 1982".
some of the looks i get are priceless .

Most JW don't have the truth right now.
Because....
...the truth changed on Saturday. From Saturday onward Gog is not Satan anymore. Hardly anyone of the r&f know this.
I just told it my parents yesterday. I know how they would react. They don't care at all.

Children & TV....OMG tv.jw.org Would you let the GB watch your kids?????]
by 4thgen inwell, it's starts today.
the jw's know what they are doing to corrupt young minds.. ***g749/8p.11theimpactoftv***.
another problem is that very young children believe what they see on tv; they do not distinguish between reality and a make-believe world.

Hopefully they will give Stephen "Rubbermouth" Lett his own TV show.
It would no doubt help many to wake up.

Elders, apostasy and disfellowshipping issue's - thoughts please
by FeelingFree inok so... when i was talking to my mil about why i no longer wanted to be a witness she kept trying to convience me that i needed to speak to the elders.
i said from the word go i didn't feel the need to as my mind was already made up and no one could change it.
i also said if the elders new all my reasons for leaving they would view me as an apostate and i would get disfellowshipped.

Dear Feelingfree
I made the experience that they don't df you if you believe something differently.
They asked me in many different ways the loyalty question (do you believe the fds is gods channel). They said from my answer they see that I don't accept the fds as gids channel. However they clearly said that I can believe whatever I want to. The crucial thing for them is, if I talk to others in the congregation about it.
If they ever want to make a shepherding call or talk to me in the back room I will tell them.
Thank you very much for your concern but my relationship to my creator (or to Jehovah) is very precious to me AND VERY PERSONAL. So I will not discuss that with you. If ever I need your spiritual advice, I will let you know.
I am happy that you and your hubby are both on the way out. I wish you good luck. Just be always kind to your family that are in and the elders. When the elders realize they have no power over you, they will leave you alone.
