That's the best way to be, and the ultimate in rich is to be rich in friends and experience and money later. Money just let's you do fun things together. But money is loaded with pressures as well.

This was our first "secret" celebration. We had a two foot tree which we kept in our child's room until xmas morning. I was glad we did have a special celebration but it had a bit of a black cloud over it having to be so covert. Just want to give our kids special memories but don't want to be df'd (currently fading). It felt weird because I have always been a pretty upfront, forthright person (in the borg) and I'm not used to hiding things. So my emotions ranged from happiness in celebrating to anger that we have to hide.
i am going to give this diet a go, after the new year.
i've been reading the book (i bought it yesterday) and it makes a lot of sense to me.
princess' husband did this program a couple of months ago and lost a lot of weight, and brought his cholesterol down too.
I went on this diet about 4 months ago...lost 10 lbs the first two weeks. My hubby lost 15 lbs. We didn't cheat once!!! After Phase 1, we went to Phase 3 to maintain what we lost. Four months later, we haven't gained a pound back. In my opinion, the diet helps to focus on better healthy choices. It is definitely something we will try to stick to.

this is my very first time celebrating christmas, and i am enjoying the season just as much as my children.
what i see is the joy of giving.
i know there are over-crowded malls, harried parents, worried people with not enough money for what they want, or no money at all.

This is my first "baby steps" Xmas. We are still fading so no lights, tree, etc. But...we are doing stockings and gifts for the kids. Was talking to the neighbor about it and she said, "It is like you have been living on a different planet all your life!!!". That really describes how I feel. I am totally "holiday challenged" and dumbing my way through this. Wish I could have a full blown Xmas like I would love to have...maybe next yr. I will be thinking of you and all the others on the board during the holidays. Helps knowing some are in the same boat we are. Happy Holidays!!!
