There's an old saying "Doctors Are Only Practicing Medicine" Something to keep in mind.

CAN WE TRUST DOCTORS?
by Dansk inmost of our local doctors, whom we go to with sore throats, aching backs, etc., are friendly chaps and ladies but even these are indoctrinated, in the main, into accepting that hospital doctors/researchers know best.
since i became seriously ill i've done a collosal amount of research and i am afraid i'm left with, at the very least, immense suspicion of the recommendations of the majority of medical doctors.
recently, we have been notified by our gp's surgery that our younger son requires immunisation.

Hi Moshe,
Glad to see you found this forum. Unlike Towerwatch, you will find much more diversity here. Most of the people are terrific and more open to a different way of thinking.
Warm regards,

Do you really hate JWs?..... or is it the WT??
by ScoobySnax into me, jehovah's witnesses are the watchtower society.
i don't think you can seperate the 2. they are both inseperably joined, infact the wt defines how jws believe.
many here say they don't "hate" jws individually, just the society, ie the wt.. where in your personal opinion is the distinction drawn??

I'm sure they feel the love for you that you say you do them still.
I don't think they have a clue what "real" love is.

My son Aaron went into the Men's restroom when he was three years old and emptied the Fire Extinguisher all over. (I secretly thought that was a hoot!)
I recall an incident with a Black sister whose toddler pulled her wig off and threw it out into the isle. I really felt sorry for this poor, tired mom. Now on top of that, she terribly embarassed.

What Is THE Number One Reason For JWs Leaving???
by minimus infrom what i can see, it's the "lack of love" that gets people to realize the witnesses don't have the "truth" after all!

Lack of Love. How they treated me wasn't the main issue. It was how they treated others. It made me so sad. It was my coming to the defense of another that started the ball rolling for my disfellowshipping.

I'm sorry to hear of this tragedy. There is no pain greater than that of losing a child.

Anyone who lives up to the righteous standards of the living God, and who proves himself worthy can be considered a faithful slave. The same applies to being a witness of Jehovah. It is something that is earned not acquired by name only.
Thanks for your concern Brownboy but dont' worry about me. I've put my faith in Christ Jesus. I have no fear. It is by "Grace" Not works that I have been saved. I will pray for you.

My sons were sent to college before I finally left their father. My oldest son is still a JW.
His degree is in Mechanical Engineering. When his company went belly up over a year ago, he had to go pioneering. Sad to say, he hasn't had time to look for a new job.
He did mention to my daughters (who are not jws) that he'll be glad when he's back at work; he's sick of the pioneering.

I've had it....
by Country_Woman inyesterday evening my dog got an epileptic attack - peeing all over the tapestry and almost glueing at the floor with the foam at his mouth (it is very hard to remove).
after the attack he wanted to "walk" pacing up the room (and backyard) for a long time.. .
this night he was whining a lot - wanting outside... (which i allowed for at least 5 times - thus having not much sleep myself).

I'm sorry to hear of your loss. You did the right thing. It wouldn't have been good for your pup to lose it's dignity with loss of control. You were a very good friend for many years.

I read the first edition about five years ago and read the 2004 edition just a couple of months ago. I have to agree, I got much more out of it the second time around.
