I admire Michael Moore for speaking out and he's not the most popular guy with the "Powers That Be" for doing so.
Perhaps he doesn't have everything exactly perfect but he brings up legitimate issues that should be discussed.
so have you seen the film yet?
what was your impression of it?
here was mine: .

wrong or right?.
right to choose, or murder?.
what is everyones point of view?.
I could never have forgiven myself if I had chosen to abort any of my children. I don't believe in judging others or telling them how to handle their particular situations, however.
I believe full disclosure of the procedure be given. I also believe there should be a required waiting period such as 24-48 hours before the actual procedure.
most jws seem to be "devout" in that they go to 5 meetings and out in field service.
yet, many also lived double lives.
were you a true-blue jw or were you a faker?
I know it seems odd to many JWs but I tried to think of how Jesus would have acted in every situation. For example, I found it nearly impossible to shun anyone! I would whisper hellos, smile or wink.
This didn't always go well with the Congregation and got me into big trouble with the elders on a few occasions.
i guess i'm asking in more of a business aspect?
or in any kind of dealings with them.....for example, because of their morals honesty is "supposed" to be practiced.
would you hire one because of this?
Personally, I would be uncomfortable with anybody who deliberately uses Religion to get something of a material nature, including a job.
For example, I know a guy who advertises to buy antiques and collectibles from Old People. Whenever he visits someone in their homes to look at stuff, he always begins with a Prayer. He's not one bit religious!
100 ways to tell if you're a jw author unknown .
source: http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/christianexjehovahswitnesses messages 913 - 917001) if your reaction to someone wearing a cross is the same as a vampire's, you might be a jw.
002) if you think demons can reduce their size to fit in jewelry, furniture, books, or into blue smurfs, you might be a jw.
019) If you have costume parties for the "young ones" within a month of Halloween, and, if you wrap presents in brown paper to give each other on "Family Gift Day", you are not only a JW, but a Worldly Wannabe and aren't fooling anybody. I always wondered what gave them the impression I was "weak"
.
here's mine: .
the wackier they seem to me!!!
The longer I'm away, the smaller they become.
it's been exactly 2 years since i stopped attending jw meetings and it's taken a toll on my marriage.
i expected as much but i guess you can never really prepare for the pain you have to go through when one mate no longer believes in the same things they once did.
i think my wife has honestly tried hard (as have i) to make the relationship work but i think we're both realizing that there are some really large issues before us that will never be resolved.
I stayed married for an additional six years following my being disfellowshipped. Couldn't take it any longer than that.
ok, i went to get my hair cut yesterday, and i told her i wanted to do something different.
i've had it long, then colored it blonde, spiked it, and now it's short.
she said how about bald?
Keep the hair and appreciate it while you have it.

the ultimate test of our existence: termination.. i don't fear death...no reservations, no nightmares.. craig
I once feared death when my children were young because I didn't want them to forget me. It seems the older I become, the less afraid I am. I think as people get old and unable to enjoy living without pain and suffering, they may even welcome it.
is it "fair" for paul to disfellowship those who are not working secularly in the 1st century?
I believe False Prophets were also stoned. ....If the False Prophet, the WTBS was stoned, there would be no more disfellowshiping.
