i don't understand why so many ex jws and faders think that the jws will continue to grow and thrive as a religion.

i still attend a meeting once a week and you can smell the death of the religion creeping up when you hear the talks, read the study wts and hear the letters from the gb.

the way the organization has changed is a sign that it reached its peak (in "healthy" membership) long ago.

I went recently to: Toronto, Rome, Madrid, Paris. Big cities. I was in the subway, downtown, etc... I didn't see a single JW or a cart or a trolley.

It's certainly losing steam... But the story is quite different in third-world countries. Go to almost any city in Mexico on a Saturday morning and you'll see droves of them.

Internet Dating - I feel like I am being love bombed again

i am on three or four sites and lots of guys are showing an interest and trying to be genuine.

it reminds me of being love bombed by the jws.

i am having so much fun and loving all the attention, i almost got carried away with it all, until i got a pm on jwn.. i have just been absorbing it all and it dawned on me i am still vulnerable, and possibly not ready to date.

I agree with nonjwspouse. Hit it in the nail. The best way to meet decent people is through activities. The best way to have easy sex is internet dating. Girls just need to put up their profile to be bombarded with guys who just want one thing.

Well it kind of made sense in a way... the doctor mourns the wife and son... But the wife first converted to a zombie (parallel: JW) and THEN made his son ALSO a zombie... And there was nothing he could do about it.

"We have all lost someone, Mr. Lane" applies to almost all, if not all of us here on JWN.

At least one of our relatives is a "zombie" and nothing can be done about it.

Hey Rob!

My parents technically don't shun me... I can go home at any time and they will talk to me like normal... but... they feel uncomfortable and the conversation and visit is kept short and to the point... so... it's not great but it could be worse.
