  NewbieDude! this sounds like some demented melody from the mind of a
  serial killer or some brainwashed mental patient who sits in a corner
  drooling rocking back and forth strangely comforted by that eerie strange
  melodie. kinda like sweeney todd or the phantom of the opera.

  i had this same type of dicussion on my study, we were talking about king david gods annointed over isreal his chosen people as he named them (not calling them jws)

  my teacher kept saying i will be safe in gods organization and i said like those people gods angel killed , wiped out by streatching his hand out killing innocent women , men , children because of something david did? he laid them out like they were nothing to him.

  Anyhow in the end didnt jesus say he would not be found in temples and we would not need to be be taught by anyone that true followers know the way by nature?

  just a question, but how is it that you can post on a site with apostates on it when we all know if the society caught you that you would be reproved and shunned like us?

  also, don't you think it directly interferes with your relationship to jehovah to blatantly disregard counsel given that "bad associations spoil useful habits"?

  also, the society recommends that you shun us, so why aren't you?

  Absent minded at the meetings

  what are the weirdest things you done during a meeting or at an assembly?.

  i had a 4 day district assembly at olympic stadium in montreal a few years ago, and i found the meeting so dull that i left and took the subway which passes below the stadium and i went down town montreal all day.

  i came back by the subway for the end of the assembly, just in time to say amen.

  lately it seems i run into jw's almost daily - in the store, at the bank, at school, at the healthclub.

  i have even run into them out in service while they're at the house next door to where i'm dropping off my kids for daycare, or going to visit a friend, etc.

  i have been out so long now that most of them don't know i'm an x-jw, but i recognize them by the books in their hands or they have a songbook in the window of their car.. of course, i have always run into them occassionally - but over the past several months it has been an almost daily basis.

  let them twist ...let them twist slowly in the wind. They chose the lie, some of them like it in there even though they know its wrong and knowing this they will turn on you anyway just to keep favor with the others . Leave them alone if they are ready to face the truth and they ask you fine but don't fool yourself its just the call of the cult.

  Tattoos anyone?

  when my ex ran amuck i got a tattoo of barbwire encircling my left bicep.

  for me it was a symbol of the imprisoned state i found myself in.

  i was an ms at the time and no one said a word!

  it's weird that, 11 years after getting df'd,and 8 years after vowing to never go back, i still kind of felt guilty toasting my birthday with my friends.

  i am a hell of a lot closer, though, to feeling no shame at all, and a lot of you are to be credited with my freedom......... .

  first off, i want to say how much reading your posts along with the rest of this site (and others) has helped in the last year or so.

  i've been out--df'd--since '95 and was pretty comfy with my reasons for leaving, till my fiancee turned me on to this site last summer.

  why dont you rent a music or dance rehersal room, a small one for ten dollars an hour?

  That way you can cry curse scream and shout all you need to. thats usually how these trips down wt memory lane go.
