crmsicl - I was thinking the same thing....Birthday Fractions! Can I use this to attend my granddaughter's birthday party?
I was thinking of saying I'm "attending" not "celebrating" but the Birthday Fractions is priceless!

My brother died yesterday
by satinka in"albert" was 55 years old, and the fifth-born of seven children.
i am the second oldest and babysat him often while he was growing up --- and while i was still at home.. yesterday, albert was out taking his usual morning stroll around his small town, when he collapsed on the sidewalk.
the doctors said it was a heart attack.

VERY CONFIDENTIAL LETTER - Child abuse 10/01/2012

to all bodies of elders.
the congregation secretary should arrange for this letter to be retained in the congregation permanent file of policy letters.

Violia, I was thinking along the same lines. The response may depend on the role the accused has within the congregation.
If the accused is not in a position of responsibility they could more likely get the "call the authority right away, why are you just notifying us" type of response.
However, if the accused has a role within a congregation, then they could more likely get a response, probing more questions or giving specific directions as to if or how to report. The more significant the role, the more detailed the questions and/or directions given.
It seems that the purpose is to determine how much responsibility will lie on the org v. the accuser.

Consider that in 2007 there were 31,200 publishers serving in 491 foreign-language con- gregations in our branch territory. By 2012, this had increased to 46,400 publishers associating with 841 foreign-language congregations. There were also seven foreign-language circuits formed during the 2013 service year: three in American Sign Language, two in Haitian Creole, one in Portuguese, and one in Vietnamese. And in the 2014 service year, foreign-language cir- cuits were formed in Arabic, Chinese, Russian, and Tagalog.
What I don't get is, since there has been such an increase in publishers in foreign fields, why is there a need to invite other publishers to come "serve where the need is greater"?
Wouldn't it make more sense to send publishers to territories that are lacking publishers? If it's the ratio of publishers to congregations that's off, why keep adding congregations if there are not enough publishers?
Maybe more publishers can be used in territories where the branches are being closed?
Am I missing something here? I admit I have no knowledge of how these things are computed.
