Oh, silly me, I thought this thread was about a Barbie doll not a "Barbie-Q". I had all these ideas for a JW Barbie - She would be dressed in a longish polyester ruffly dress, her legs would be glued together, and there would be no Barbie Corvette - maybe a Station Wagon instead. She would have to wear flat shoes, of course, and carry a book bag instead of a purse. And she could never, never be alone with Ken. I had more ideas . . .maybe I should start my own thread!!

Okay, teenyuck, I just can't bear to see this topic die without a response I STILL have all my own teeth at the ripe old age of 34 even though I don't floss every day. Maybe twice a week. But I do brush at least twice a day. I do have dental insurance, so I get my teeth cleaned twice a year for free. I had braces when I was a kid so my teeth are nice and straight too. In fact, I look like this .....

Three Things Witnesses Will Admit
by metatron inso, the organization never makes any mistakes, the elders are appointed by god, you should attend all the meetings.
because "it's the truth", blah blah, blah.. .
in my experience, as long as you're not too aggressive about it, there are three serious problems in the organization.

Sorry, I don't mean to sound like an idiot! I know I'm "preaching to the choir" so to speak. I am learning so much from you guys, though . . . this is the only place I have found any help and support. Thanks!!

My husband has told me quite clearly that he would choose the "Truth" over me if forced to choose. He sees it as a test. To me (I have never been a JW) it seems that EVERYTHING with this group is a test. Your family vs. THEM, Your job vs. THEM, Your education vs. THEM, Your sanity vs. THEM. They don't want you to have anything else at all.

by SpiceItUp ini honestly want your answers to the following questions.
(i am trying to find out what jw's think on these things to determine what my parents may say in response if i ask them any of these)
question #1can individuals read & understand the bible alone, or do they need an organization and its publications to do so?

I'll tell you first hand what their response to this list of questions will be. I gave the same list to my JW husband (along with a few other questions) and I was told "none of this matters." He says the only important prophecy is "God's Kingdom", "dates don't really matter, people were just over zealous", "apostates exaggerate these things and use them against us", etc. His answers are always non-answers. I'm so frustrated . . .
