Why do most brothers work in the cleaning business?

when i joined the jw's many years ago, i couldn't get over how many were working in the cleaning business.

i know this permitted them to go to the meetings, out in the field service, and work without any conflict.. where did this trend start?

is it like this world wide?

My JW mother-in-law has done house-cleaning work for 12 years for a filthy-rich Jewish couple in Florida. How's that for hypocricy?

i'm wondering if there are many truly militant apostates out there....... some real god hating watchtower bashing hard guys....i just read the "bill bowen update" thread and feel that all opposition is good opposition, and knowing that the wt society can see any posts we make, also feel its a shame they can see squabbles among their enemies.

when i read the thread about trumans experience with the brothers making a call i thought: .

why not feign amnesia?

you answer the door and say you are not brother/sister so & so.

I don't know where to get the vibrating broomstick, but if you just answer the door holding a regular old vibrator, that would probably do the trick. (Make sure it's turned "on".)

JW relationship with a Study?

i'm currently taking book study and still am not sure about completely pursuing the religion, but am openly analyzing what i am learning.

i am currently dating a jw... my question is how is it looked upon when a jw dates a "study" ?

is it allowed by the elders or will he be shunned?

No he's not trying to convert me at all... in fact he told me not to do anything for him b/c he doesn't want me to think bad about him if things don't work out and i accept the faith... he left it to my choosing whether i wanted this or not... he didn't mention it, i did. My best friend is JW and she's the one giving me study...

Go back and read some of my posts ........... then RUN !!!!!!!!!!!

i don't think we're anything alike from what i've read of your posts.

i'm interested to know what you think...... an old saying comes to mind though:.

Note the grammatical precision of SwordofJah and Scoobysnax. I see that the Watchtower education they have received is equal to or superior to a real education . . . NOT!!!!!!!!!!
