  Know what makes me terribly sad about some on these forums?

  i find something very distressing not to mention terribly sad about some of you people (and to those who are not one of these people i kindly ask to please don't fly into some "i'm so insulted!

  " snit as if i'm wrongfully referring to you).

  to those people i'm referring to i say: you rightfully hope for the british and u.s. military to destroy that saddam monster and its minions of mass-murdering/worshippers throughout iraq.

  I don't want to seem rude to you, Derrick, but man, you must have driven your mom crazy when you were growing up. You talk and talk and say nothing. You are really that brain-dead that you suggest we are morons here because we are didn't ASSUME you were using Netscape.

  You are the perfect example of a person who has such low self-esteem, that he constantly has to put down other people in order to try to make himself feel better. You are not even fooling yourself. I would like to introduce you to my ex-wife. You guys would hit it off great!!!!

  it's weird that, 11 years after getting df'd,and 8 years after vowing to never go back, i still kind of felt guilty toasting my birthday with my friends.

  i am a hell of a lot closer, though, to feeling no shame at all, and a lot of you are to be credited with my freedom......... .

  Why Ray Franz? A very theoretical proposal

  ever wonder why more members of the gb don't wise up and make waves like ray franz did?

  sure, most probably know that there are serious deficiencies with the society, but why did ray franz in particular go the extra mile of leaving the organization altogether and writing against it?

  I BELIEVE that the best thing that ever happened to me, (I was born into the JW faith) was the fact that I got df'd. At the time of me getting df'd, it was the worst thing that ever happened to me. The only thing that changed was my perception.

  Ray Franz became a hero for a lot of ex-JW's because they needed one. I DO respect the man, but I would think that he would agree that he became a saviour for some of us, because we needed one as much as that he was one.

  I have a friend who was a JW from birth to about 16 years of age. He cannot understand how much of an impact it has had on me. (I was deeply into it until 24). My friend and I support each other very well, because he shows me how much I have lost, by being a dub, and I show him how much I can help others, by showing how great life is on the outside.

  An interesting point, that I don't know how many people consider: Ray Franz (with all respect due to him) would just be a bitter JW, and at best an apostate, if it not for his status on the Governing Body.

  Cheers to Ray for being just like the rest of us!!!!!!!!!!! He saw bullshit and wanted to expose it. He is our equal.

  I, in my JW days, used to resent people that tooted their own horn. I used to feel that way, all the way back to my grade 5 experience of being the best runner in the school and yet getting 1/10th the recognition of a self-confident nobody that I defeated!!!!! I eventually realized that the self-confident person was NOT a nobody and that me being resentful was MY fault, not their's.

  Whew, that was a long-awaited load off my chest....... now as to how it relates here....... I had stated earlier that a few certain people have made more of an impact than others...... I stand by those comments.

  I also would like to suggest that, from my experience as a youth, that our impact on each other is quite often not recognized until later. Therefore, I would like to thank all who have posted, without recognition. It seems to be human nature that, where recognition is given, the few who are not given recognition may actually believe that they contribute less. This is a FALSEHOOD.!!!

  My children would get no say in this forum, yet they have taught me more than anyone on this forum!!!!!!!! On the other hand, I have learned great things from people on this forum.

  To suggest that either my kids, or all of you kind-hearted people here are not deserving of respect would be ludicrous. So, for my part, I love the fact that the question was asked. I learned from the responses, positive or negative, and have become a better person for it. May there be many more posts like it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  I did date one girl in grade 12. She broke up with me because she said 'she could tell how important my religion was to me and she didn't want to be responsible for me leaving it.'

  What's your weather like?

  it is unusually cold here in oklahoma.

  it was near the freezing point last night and will be again tonight.

  had to grab and bring in all my hanging plants i had put out last week.. april is usually the start of hot weather here, time to start running a/c, but instead we're running our heat.. how's the weather is your area?

  It is cold in Ontario as well. I think God heard all of worrying about global warming lately and decided to shut us up this ONE year. GOD, it has been one COLD winter/spring.
