Exactly how PD said it: The truth is relative: it's all about what you choose to believe, feels right, ***makes you happy***, and doesn't harm anyone....that's just my opinion.

Yoga: The Watchtower's View
by Disheartened inwhat a load of crap!
i copied and pasted this from watchtower.org.
this just goes to show how they will stop at nothing to maintain the mind control over the poor blind people who still believe.... yoga.

Do they allow other types of martial arts for JWs?
No..............it's in the elder book. I researched in back in '95 for our youngest son and couldn't find anything against it, until Dave showed me the paragraph in the elder book. That was sneaky.Mulan - Yep! My parents allowed my brother and I to take Tae Kwon Do in middle school. It was the best thing they could have done for us! I remember we'd sneak to the dojo and change our clothes before leaving. What utter crap.

Be careful of the 'proud warrior' pose...that one encourages one to think too much of themselves!

i still feel a spiritual need in the way that i do beleive there is a creator and after having done a lot of research on bible arecheaology i beleive the bible is correct.
however we have been taught so much dogma amongst christianity have any of you got to the point yet of going to any other religious meeting.

My first year out, I attended Easter mass at the Catholic church. It was interesting to see the pomp and circumstance, but did nothing for me spiritually. I attended a non-denominational Christian Church, and like many of you noted, I was being told what I can and can't do....ran outta there...I also attended the Unitarian Universalists. I really liked their acceptance to all and I thought the female pastor was great. However, I still didn't feel real spiritual there, but like the basic concept of what the UU represent.
I really do want to go, but am a little nervous because according to their site you are supposed to make a financial pledge
Eyebrow2 - hmmmm, I've visited many websites here in the Denver area, and they don't mention a financial pledge. When I attended, they never passed around a money basket to pressure anyone into donating.
Friggin' churchaholics!!!
LOL @ Dantheman! We have devout Catholic neighbors like that. It's real annoying.

Has Anyone Ever Met Any Celebrities?
by imallgrowedup inthis is a spin-off of another thread where my *mild and chaste* friend, mouthy, admitted to wanting to meet her dream man, tom jones, and that she would even go so far as to throw her bloomers at him, if that is what it would take to get his attention!
well, the mental picture this painted was far too much for me to bear, so i encouraged her to save her red polka-dotted "unmentionables", not only because she might need them in the future, but because i didn't think she'd have to go that far to get his attention.
and i said that - because of a personal experience with him.

I used to work as a first class flight attendant and met:
Sean Austin - He was very nice and laughed when I told him he was my favorite Goonie.
Louie Anderson
Wayne Newton
Brandi
Bernie Mac - He was so funny! I met him working on the set of Ocean's Eleven and I was sitting at his blackjack table for one of the takes.
Bill Murray - on the set of Larger Than Life, where I worked as an extra. He was very nice!
Andy Garcia is an arrogant arsehole. My friend went up to him on the set of Ocean's and told him what a fantastic actor she thinks he is. He looked at her, then turned his back to her, not even acknowledging her comment. Whateva. May he get an inoperable tumor at the base of his spine.
Dimebag Daryl, Rex, and Vinnie Paul from the band Pantera. THEY ROCK!
All of Megadeth before they broke up...Dave Mustaine signed my left b00b @ a meet in greet here in Denver. He's hot. Grrrrrrr.
The boys of Mudvayne at Summer Sanitarium and the lead singer to Lincoln Park (I dunno his name, cuz I think they suck).
And I think that's it...
