I am only affected by the memories of days long past. It usually takes something like seeing witnesses walking down the road in field service, or seeing a magazine on an end table at a doctors office or something to jog the memory a bit, sometimes a post I read here will take me on a trip down memory lane. Not all of the memories are bad memories, but all in all it was a tough confusing period of time in my life.....but then I think that holds true for most people when they look back to their teenage and early adulthood years.

Why isn't the bible clear?
by JH inif god wanted everybody to understand the bible, wouldn't he/she have made the bible a little easier to understand?.
just change a word or put a comma at a different place, and the meaning of a verse changes completely.
there are so many different religions who claim they use the bible but contradict each other and have different teachings.. even jesus followers and disciples didn't understand jesus's message too well.

The Bible one of the single greatest hoax's in the history of the world. Millions if not billions of people over the centuries duped into believing it is the inspired word of god.

seat belt laws !!!!!!! argh!!!!
by heathen injust wondering how many people here feel that the seat belt law is mandatory for safe motoring.
i can't stand this law myself as if you only forget to put one on the police are happy to pull you over and detain you and write you a ticket.
this is one of those things that i think if there were a public vote over, it would not exist .

I grew up and learned to drive out west in the great plains states and seatbelts were not the law at that time. Kids would sit in the back of pick up trucks in the summer time, babes would sit on their mothers laps when the family went to town. When I moved east I was perplexed by the overwhelming seatbelt movement. I was not used to it so for years I just never wore it. Then the click it or ticket thing came up. I tried to wear a seatbelt but for some reason the strap does not come down across my shoulder like one would think or hope it would, it comes straight down across my face. I have tried to adjust it but to no avail it either is under my chin and cutting against the bottom of my jaw or flapping right in front of my face. Perhaps it is because I am shorter than your average joe, maybe it is because I am too simple to figure out how to adjust it properly. In any case it's a pain in the neck (literally). I don't wear it now unless I feel I am in a hostile environment (lots of cops around). In those cases I will strap the belt and pull the shoulder strap down under my arms so it doesn't interfere with my face. Sometimes I think the whole gag is just a way for them to squeeze more money out of the common folk afterall some people are stubborn and some people are forgetful and the politicians know this and see a gold mine. Senator Smith loves nothing more than taking 80 extra bucks from Trailer park Bob for forgetting to click it on his 5 minute midnight trip to the party store to pick up a pack of Marlboro Reds. 10000 trailer park Bob's a year is alot of money and Senator Smith thinks that he and Senator Jones need a raise for coming up with such a cool idea.

It did indeed look as if they took the old stuff off. It used to be under Music but now it just says coming soon. Which means they will probably put some of their newer stuff on now. I can be contacted at [email protected]

I come from a family of musicians. I personally sing and write my own music and I am a chord hack guitar player. My sister besides being a first chair clarinet player in school can play piano and is a very good singer and currently sings with two Detroit area band's the GT40's (a band that plays original compositions) and Ante M a cover band that plays at all the local bars and clubs. www.antem.net my younger brother plays both guitar and bass guitar. My mother currently plays the violin but she was once a top notch clarinet player and is also able to play the flute saxaphone and piano as well as having a good singing voice. My father is a guitar player and he and my uncle who is a lead singer and bass player have had a local band here in the Detroit area for nearly 30 years now. I have an appreciation for all styles and types of music. No exceptions, I will listen to anything at least once.

All right -- What does God need 144,000 "rulers" for, anyway?
by logansrun inone of the great philosophical conumdrums amongst the vast number of philosophical conumdrums of the watchtower society is this: why would almighty god (or jesus christ) need once earthly, now spiritual "co-rulers" for anyway?
god is not lacking in anything (supposedly).
now, anything means anything, right?

I think 144,000 was just the largest number that the human writer could think of at the time. He puffed on his pipe by the candle light and said to himself what's a really cool number of people I could say go off to heaven to be princes and rulers. He took another sip of his Mediterranean wine (hiccup). Then he scribbled down the number 144,000 on his scroll never giving it a second thought that a couple thousand years later anybody would be asking so many questions about it. Thanks to some dark ages scribe compiling the "how to control the masses handbook", it got scribbled down in the "keeper" pile of the book that would become today's Bible. Just lovely.

As a baby and young boy my Granparents aunts and uncles used to call me Little Man. My grandparents sometimes still call me that. In high school my most common nicknames were Curtis, McKinlsley, Johan and Yokey. Why those nicknames I really do not know completely. The guys at the building next door where I work call me Cannonball because of a football game we played several years ago.
