I think they ask the question because all of us havent been here as long as others. I am sure a lot of questions are re-ask due to new x-JW's finding the site. I hope I am free to ask any quesiton I want. I have only been here about 3 weeks and I am sure I will ask a question that has already been ask.
Personally I went to college after fading. I have a degree in Laser Electro Optic & Bio-Medical Instrumentation specializing in Laser Technology. I also obtained by BS in Business. I began my own business in August. I will see if I have what it takes to make it.

Where are you going when you die?
by Mystery ina questions that has been on my mind for 20+ years that i have been away.. and more recently - a friend of my sons was killed.

" i am worried because if you die, i don't know where you are going.

Farkel - do you have children? Have you lost anyone close to you? Maybe after you figure out "where I'm going while I still LIVE " you will have empathy for others. I don't dwell on this. I LIVE my life. I am involved with things I would have never been involved with as a JW. I love watching my sons play sports (as no JW are ever allowed to). I coach rec. I volunteer. I work. I raise my sons the best way i know how. I hope you find a way to LIVE your life and be happy with your decision. You are right "speculation won't change a damn thing", even tho we speculate everyday. Do you have plans for tomorrow? Do you have an appointment in the future? You are speculating that you will even be alive to do something tomorrow. Everyone speculates. Does ANYONE know what happens when they die? No. But is is nice to hear others opinions so that I can decide what to tell my sons so that they dont worry about me when they bury me. The will have THEIR LIVE TO LIVE, not worry about where Mom is?

I do! That was one of the reasons we chose the "package" from cable that we did. I don't get to watch it alot. I have boys involved in sports and we are involved with the commuity park. So I don't have alot of free time.
But Yes I love that show. -

----our CO a few years ago stated that it seemed that the ageing GB's life span somehow was artificially prolonged by the Creator, as most of them were then in their 80s and 90s, but still very vigorous----
You are kidding right? He didn't really say that? -

No one has come to my door yet. I know that someone in my family called a couple of years ago and gave them my address. They have dropped by a couple of times.
If they make a last ditch effort and head out my way what is 1 Question I could ask to make them actually think? Especially if there is a teenager with them? A question with the most impact?
Not what about the UN? Or the Blood issue? Those 2 arguments would fall on deaf ears, with the JW's my family.
Just a simple question that would nag at one that had a small, teeny tiny doubt about the troof.
What would your qustion be? -

Possible JC for Pleasuredome
by Pleasuredome ingood grief, i can't even have a cigarette in peace!
i travel five miles to a pub for a drink with a mate, and an elder turns up.
i'm sitting down just blowing the last bit of smoke out of my sinfull lungs and stubbing my cig out, and i look over to the bar and there's an elder from my old cong, looking in my direction with a look of disdain on his face.
