  there is this jw husband and wife i knew from the 80's when i was a child.

  they got a divorce a few years ago and never remarried.

  they are older now and unable to afford to live on their own.

  venting: My wife is in cult mode again! she tried to start a fight..

  so when i was at luch today, my wife was in full cult mode.

  she started in on me about us not being able to hang with other witnesses and when i go to the meetings with her that i don't talk with nobody nor pay attention and act angry.

  i told her that i don't want to fight and i have better things to do than argue.

  i knew apostasy was a serious concern for the org, but until i watched this video, i had no idea how afraid they actually were.

  all this guy wants is to do is not turn in his fs hours and immediately they (elders) set about drilling him about who are what influenced his decision, as if he was incapable of making his own (which as the elders confirm, in the org is highly discouraged).

  they are convinced he has been communicating with apostates or visiting apostate web sites.

  SecretSlaveClassAsk him if the GB has considered getting a copyright for the word "god". Lots of extra Watchtower $$ from those wanting to associate themselves with "Him". A great way to control the god market.

  Actually, that's the reason the silver sword was made...the copyright on the NWT ran out, so they decided to 'revise' it. I know someone [a non-witness] who helped on the translation of some of the silver sword and that's the reason they gave for its existence...

  in the photodrama of creation there's a picture of the solar system.. there are 12 solar orbiting objects.

  (also a 13th orbit which seems to be a comet, probably halley).

  does anyone know where russell got this from?.

  what do you think of the following line of reasoning for helping a jw start to think about what they are admitting.. (essentially, the organisations way of handling child abuse has been wrong, harm has been caused, god is now putting it right.).

  I used this on my husband,,,he didn't take to it well. even suggesting the org and is being punished for it like it had been in the wrong was bad in his eyes.
