I had a dream like that, I woke up and went on with my day like normal. Drove to college and so forth but no one was there. So I ended up driving back home to my Mom ecstatic that Armageddon was over. We had to all assemble at the Kingdom Hall and the Elders thought it would be best to start living at the Hall, I was arguing that we needed to be near water and start planting things. But they didn't listen to me, they were just all rejoicing over making it and turning a blind eye to everything that needed to be done to continue surviving so I left and went to live on my own.

IF they were right
by KW13 inimagine you woke up in a paradise earth that was inhabited by jehovahs witnesses.
what would your reaction be?
personally i'd feel sick (if my perfect body would allow that lol) as eternity stuck with them, would be worse than hell.

Interesting developments
by SickofLies inhello everyone, remember me?
for those of you who are new i produced a documentary on disfellowshiping in the kingdom hall.
the interesting thing is that i was df'ed not for committing and 'gross' sin, as you might think, but i was df'ed of litterally asking to many questions.. anyway, i've heard the following news co's and do's in the us are talking about my case, i have been barred from ever entering a kingdom hall again (police notice was enfocred on me) and for some reason i have been getting calls from elders from the hall i was booted out of lately (i have not returned or answered the calls as of yet).

I'm jealous, I wish I could be so bad they ban me from all Kingdom Halls. I guess I'm going to have to try harder then.

Gas Prices Today Are Cheaper Than Years Ago

so there was no fighting before the bush administration?
ahem, tell us, what were gas prices before the bush admin?

I suppose one could blame the gas prices on inflation, but if that were the case wouldn't Bush have raised the minimum wage, and COLA increases in Social Security. In 8 years I don't believe the minimum wage was raised, and the COLA increase is the lowest it's ever been. It can't be simply inflation that is causing it. I'm a Bush-basher of the highest degree, I don't blame Bush for causing the Gas prices to skyrocket, I just blame him for letting it happen. The other stuff that he's done is stuff for another thread, and honestly I don't think I have enough time in the day to discuss that.

The End is coming Pretty Soon, Folks
by Flowerpetal ini have been inactive from jws since 2003. i don't post here very much -- do more reading than posting.
but i just had to tell y'all that i got a one-page tract this evening which is an invitation to attend the deliverance at hand convention.. yes...the end is coming pretty soon because never before in jw history has an invitation or tract been distributed to a city not designated a convention city.. the end is also coming pretty soon because i was told at the convention there will be a lot of talks about noah and what he faced.. in addition, the end is very near because later on this year there will be several announcements coming from the society.
wow!

Just in from CNN...
by Stealth453 inbeirut, lebanon (reuters) -- boats and buses left lebanon wednesday carrying thousands of foreigners fleeing the eight-day-old middle east conflict.
the following are some facts and figures on the evacuation plans, broken down by country:
about 25,000 australians with dual nationality are in lebanon and about 7,500 have registered to evacuate.

Yup and there's George W. egging them on. "Bomb more, Bomb faster. As long as you don't really have a reason to be there in the first place."
With all those numbers, are there any Lebanese in Lebenon?

Your Funniest House-to-House Presentations
by Good Girl or Bad Girl? inso when my brother was a wee little lad, my mother was helping him prepare his first presentation.
it involved a paradise tract, i'm sure.. anyway, so my brother, probably about 5 or 6 years old, stands at his first door and makes his little presentation.
except he kind of forgot what he was going to say and kind of made it up on the spot, because what he ended up saying was, "if you'd like to live forever you can have this tract.

Good point about tricking people. I did know an older brother, though, who would just say right up front "We're Jehovah's Witnesses........"
Did we ever go out in service together. It says you're 18, and I'm 25 so yeah I could've been an older brother to you... LOL.
I did that one day the "We're Jehovah's Witnesses" because my friend told me this way we could just breeze through our side of the street and wait in the car for our parents to finish the rest of the street. Man wasn't that the best waiting in the car while your parents had a long conversation at some door?

Ours was a suburb of a suburb, but still pretty large. Like 200 or so I would say. It was really clique-ish though, there was a clique for everything.

I miss the "free" food.
by Justice-One infree food.
it used to make the conventions almost bearable.
i rememeber telling the wife and kids to not put anything in any contribution box, because as the head of the family, i had taken care of it.

Wow I must've been from a rich district because we had Ice Cream every day of the convention. Not the bigger one in Providence but the smaller one in Natick we had ice cream. They had soft serve. Actually now you mention it I do miss the hoagies and danishes. The older danishes though, I remember they switched to small packaged Sarah Lee ones later on, give me generic or give me death LOL. Didn't they have like roast beef sandwiches and chicken patties too? Oh to have another meal there back in the day, actually now it's the kind of food I turn my nose up at, since it's way off my diet course.
