Sometime this week. My parents are getting a lot of heat from the congregation, and tension in my house was already super high. I know it's inevitable. I really don't know what to do. In Canada, if I get kicked out, they're legally obliged to finacially support me. I also have a part time job, but not enough money to make a month's rent in a small room ($300-400). I really don't know what to do right now. Any of you guys been in this kind of situation?

Wondering what you guys think about child abuse...

As far as I know, the elder's book directs elders to immediatly report know pedos to the police. Is it the WT itself you guys have a problem with, or JWs in general? As I said, this is a bit of a grey area for me, and I'm always confused when you guys are talking about it.

Do you think the age has passed when there can be no new religions?
by truthseeker ini think we are already living in the age where there can be no new religions.
we have access to information like never before and anyone claiming revelations of something new and starting a whole new religion can easily be discredited.. christianity and islam may continue to subdivide but i think we've pretty much seen the end of anything new in terms of a new belief system.. .
what are your thoughts on this?.

I think there'll continue to be new sects of various religions. I personally don't expect anything big since religion has been on a pretty big decline.

As a kid and teenager now, I never found them fun. The only fun part would be hanging out with friends at a skate park during lunch lol.

My parents try that arguement all the time lol. Then they try to pull the god made time arguement, so is therefore infinite. That's the point I give up .-.

by Comatose inmy mom used to throw a paper napkin on her head when forcing us to study after i was baptised.
i've seen scarves, and shawls, and a very few hats.. isn't using a napkin on your head just the same as not bothering?

Scared I'll Never be Happy Again

i moved out of my mothers house accross the country to room with a friend.
things have been going ok, it's just strange to be so far away from everything that felt familiar, even the meetings.

Dealing with overbearing parent?
by make yourself inhow was it growing up dealing with over bearing parents being a born in?
right now i'm being guilt tripped about relationships and friendships with normal people.
it makes no sense to me, how can you tell someone who is grown not to hang out with certain individuals?

Wow. Going through the same thing. EXACT same thing. This may be the same in your case, but since I've always felt isolated and that I'm not normal, I really just put myselft down, instead of moving forward with my social life. This is my second year of highschool, and man, have I ever moved forward. After put negative thoughts behind me, I made tons of friends and I guess you could say I'm popular (classical sense of the word. there aren't really classes in my school). Really, you can do what you want with your life, and be who you want. Trust me, I've been depressed and suicidal, but now I'm really having the time of my life. Hope you feel better man!
