by breakfast of champions inmy wife found this 1/4 page ad on page 2 of yesterday's nj star-ledger, probably the biggest newspaper in nj.

Dunedain I think all of us, including myself, who live in the NYC, tri state area, and have access to this newspaper, should grab a copy, and make HUNDREDS of photo copies of this advertisement.
We then should carefully cut out the advertisement, perhaps even wearing latex gloves, so as not to "dirty" the copies with fingerprints.If such a clean copy is made, please post it here for broader use.

TV commercial seen in the United States, from a Law firm "Asking if you were ever sexually abused by JEHOVAHS WITNESSES, please call".

if it was, i do apologize, but i feel i have to mention what has been seen on tv, within the past 24 hours.. first off, i would like to say that i did not personally see this commercial.
however, it was seen by someone that i can verify 100% is telling the truth, as it was my own father who saw it.

by Simon ini figured i'd shut the site down for a couple of hours to encourage everyone to do their xmas shopping.
the error message was a subtle hint, that's what "500 error" means ... go shopping.. whatever rumours you hear, it definitely wasn't that someone deployed a quick update before going on a 1.5 hour car ride to pick someone up and didn't think that the page they tested, to check it was all working after the update, happened to be cached.
no siree bob, not that, na hah.. anyway, you're welcome for the extra chance to, erm, shop..

I'm not surprised to hear that at all.
When I went back in 2003 seeking reinstatement, one of the elders told me that many came crawling back after 9-11. Of course they left again after they realized Armageddon wasn't coming - WHICH ONLY SHOWS HOW INSINCERE THEY WERE.

Update on MIL shunning

just a quick little update to the post i made a few months ago about my mil shunning us.
quick recap: during a convo after she attended the rc and was going on and on about how powerful it was and how great the videos were, blah, blah, blah...i couldn't take it anymore and told her that's not our lives anymore and i didn't want to hear anymore about it and to please respect that and move on to something else to talk about.

Even if she does come to see the kids, are you prepared to let your children suffer the emotional effects of having a grandma who is only OCCASIONALLY interested in seeing them?
Why not let grandma know she's either a full part of your children's lives (which includes the entire family) or NO PART. Playing games like that with children is abuse.
