That was a very brave thing to do back there. I dont pretend to know any of the difficulties facing homosexuals but I know you have a hard time. You must have been pretty sure of this before you said these things, so to go off on a lecture on 'are you sure' would be foolish of me.

well this is a programme that we would not normally watch, but.... our eldest son's best friend is on - paris - it is really strange watching him.. how sad are we - we are even watching bbc3 at 7pm, just to catch a glimpse of him, ( i am sure that the novelty will soon wear off)!!!!

If the God of the bible expects us to understand 'his word' based on such things as 70 weeks, wild beasts, faithful slaves and 'disgusting things that cause desolation', he's going to have to do much better than that.
Discussing the bible is a catch 22. One theory is just as easily created as the next is made exempt. Eager so called 'prophets' claim to have the answers, but can you really believe one set of wild interpretations ahead of the next ? To claim superiority interpreting scripture is for fools.
I can hardly trust things I read today; how can I be judged on a book that was written two thousand years ago by men ?
If the Bible works for you, then use it. There may be a bible inside you, there may be a Quran inside you. We cannot say what is right and what is wrong. Therefore, correct and help yourself. To those that stress over the meaning of these things; chill out.

loved it.. i think the wt said that yoga was bad.. at first i was weary, because i always viewd yoga with being a sin.. but then i realized.... stretching and excercise is not a sin.. .

franz stated something in this mind-blowing book which was definitely true for me.. he stated (this is a poor paraphrase) that very early on during a "study", witnesses can easily show what's in the bible regarding god's name, the condition of the dead, living on paradise earth, etc.
once these are proven to a person's satisfaction, when the study moves on to more complicated matters, it is just easier to accept what isn't understood on the basis that so far, everything has seemed true.

I loved In search of Christian Freedom.
Ray Franz holds a place in my heart; we have never met, or spoke, but If I had the chance, I would thank him from the bottom of my heart for what he has done for me. He is an incredible person; may God bless him in all that he does.
In search was an amazing book. It blew my mind, as well. After my mother miraculously read CoC, she needed something to comfort her; Rays book gave that comfort. It offered hope when all seemed lost; it gave freedom back to Christianity. Ray is a Christian; and although I may not agree with him doctrinally, I fully support what he has done for thousands of people worldwide.
I owe him much, but can repay little. All I can do is thank him; he is a spiritual master.

if you can be really honest with yourself, do you think that you exercise prejudice at times?
are you a person that makes disparaging remarks about certain groups because they are different from you?
if you feel that you're not a prejudiced person, do you see yourself stereotyping?
I used to be terribly prejudice !
Name a nation ; I'd slag them off. Name a group of people ; I'd slag them off.
Yet I have seen the light; honestly. Its hard when everybody around you is very narrow minded; but I guess I have done it. Now, I slag off these people, albeit satirically.
I hang my head in shame over the things that I have said of others in the past. Yet I have learnt the error of my ways.
