If you can be really honest with yourself, do you think that you exercise prejudice at times? Are you a person that makes disparaging remarks about certain groups because they are different from you? If you feel that you're not a prejudiced person, do you see yourself stereotyping?

We are all prejudiced to a degree, anyone who says otherwise is a liar. I think it's the degree that matters and how you express it.

I personally like to think that I hate everyone equally though.

I suppose I'm a liitle bit prejudiced against summer visitors to our town. They bring in much needed revenue, true, but until you've seen a bloated white Brit with a knotted handerkerchief on his head singing Viva Espana whilst quaffing quarts of IPA and effing this and effing that while he's waiting for his vindaloo, then you ain't seen the half of it!

Kinda scary, but I have to admit I am as well. I never thought I was, I'm the type of person, no matter where I am if I hear the N word, I'm all over it. But there are certain issue's where I've shocked myself because I was a little prejudiced...I'm still tryin to figure that out.

I used to be terribly prejudice !

Name a nation ; I'd slag them off. Name a group of people ; I'd slag them off.

Yet I have seen the light; honestly. Its hard when everybody around you is very narrow minded; but I guess I have done it. Now, I slag off these people, albeit satirically.

I hang my head in shame over the things that I have said of others in the past. Yet I have learnt the error of my ways.

SP is right! We all have prejudices deep down. But some people really act on them and others try hard not to have those prejudices affect their attitudes and actions towards other people.

No need to go "deep inside". I am sure, I am at many levels.

The difference is, everyday I try to be MORE open minded and LESS prejudice.

Deep down we are all victims of our upbringing. Believe me I know as I was raised in a segregated south. However, you don't have to stay stupid all of your life. You have a brain that says, or should say, "this isn't right." At that point in time you should start seeing the error of your ways and change course. Some people seen to have a wish to feel superior to others and those individuals are beneath contempt. Bug
