Did you take down notes at the meetings?
by JH inwere you the type to always jot down every little detail the brothers said from the podium?.
i found it amusing when especially sisters were always writting notes in their pads when the brother was giving a talk in the front.. i wonder if it was because they found the topic interesting, or because they wanted to look as if they were learning something.. i was all ears, but never took down notes.
that's odd, coming from a person who is "visual".

I tried, but then I was in serious danger of looking interested, so I just stopped doing it.
It's funny, I remember somebody else doing exactly the same thing. I used to tell her, 'Why are you taking notes?!?! You will never read them! ' She told me that one day she would take them out and read them, as it is always good to keep notes from the table of Jehovah'
8 months ago, she left and hasn't been back since. Her notes? In the recycle tip with 220 plus Watchtower and Awakes !!!!!! CASHBACK !!!!!!!!!

These so called higher spiritually privaliged religious ones are so far up their own spiritual backsides it is unbelievable. Oh ! Look how damn fine it is to 'Praise the Lord' on a sunday morning. ( done with my best American accent ) Christians of this mould find it impossible to resist attacks on any kind of religious movement, like their shit don't stink so bad. This account is typical of how they have a strange perception of Islam, blinding believing that it is evil simply because most terrorists must be muslim !

If you decided to try a church, which one would you try?and why?
by LyinEyes ini have been thinking of doing something i have wanted to for along time, just to see, that is go to a church.
i guess i am a little afraid , or nervous , more than anything, but i feel i ready to venture out there and see what it is about,,,,,,,,,,,lol, i might not stay , i just want to try it.. i just want to give it a chance and right now i have no reason why i shouldnt if i go in with my eyes open.
i dont know what religion to start with,,,,,,,,, i figure this may be a journey on finding what feels right to me, or it could end up i stay home and do my own worship , who knows.. i know there are many christains on this board and i would be interested in hearing why you choose the faith you did, if it is methodist, catholic, baptist, or other mainstream ones.. i am also interested in other forms of religion some have choosen, and why?

Imagine If The Watchtower Apologzed For Their Sins
by minimus inone thing that is commonly brought up is how the society has made so many mistakes and uttered so many false prophecies.
i just wonder what would happen if the watchtower ever came out and asked forgiveness for their sins and asked to start a clean slate.
(you know, like the pope did a couple of years ago).

The Worldwide Church of God made a similar statement years ago, apologizing for their errors.
If the Witnesses ever did that, which I strongly doubt, I can see many dubs jumping up and down and raving about how 'great' the Organization is. I can only hope they never make such a statement, If they do, expect more gullible converts.

by Gadget inhas any body any idea how good the workmanship is on quickbuilds?
normally if you get a group of people who don't know about building you get chaos.
i know a few years ago they were changed from 48hrs to 2weekend, something to do with not being able to lay the bricks fast enough, new legislation limiting how many courses could be done in a day.

Does your cat eat grass?
by JH inmy cat lives inside, and once in a while i bring her outside.
i bring her outside to walk and get exercise, but no she sits there and eats grass.
that's all she does is eat grass.. then she comes back inside and a few hours after she throws up the grass she ate.
