  christianity, in it's truest, fundamentalist form, promotes an unhealthy and non-productive victim mentality.

  the christian feels helpless on his own -- condemned by sin and absolutely unworthy.

  i read on one of the posts that elders visit disfellowshipped persons once a year?

  is this an accurate statement?

  while we were never disfellowshipped, we just faded away over 25 years ago.

  This is true. Elders check up on those disfellowshipped to see how they are thinking, it gives them a buzz of power to do so.

  Those that simply leave are not deemed important enough to go after, which was the case with us also.

  Who have I traded the dubs in for ? I don't follow any fundy religious nuts.

  I don't think Scooby looks to us for advice. But I like many others here are sick of his constant hyping up of the Society that has hurt us so much in the past. For God's sake, make a decision.

  Sept KM '03 - Give Us More Money

  the sept. km has an insert showing progress on building the new printing facility at wallkill.. it says this stuff should be finished by "early 2005" ( damn!

  another armageddon delay!).

  it will cost 50 million, so there's the usual suggestion to open up wallets for the "world wide work".. the announcements remind elders to complete the "annual property document review worksheet ( t-33e).

  in my life i have noticed that there are some people who's lives seem to be filled with nothing but misery.

  constantly loosing low skill low pay jobs, one after another
