Most of the time, just very good food.
The worst ever was only coffee with appelpie - which should be on room-temperature - but it came for at least 10 minutes out of the microwave - and I burned my mouth.
No apologies were given, so I never will go back to that place.

Seen any good movies lately?
by StinkyPantz inthe husband and i went to see "house of the dead" the other night, and 30 minutes into it we had to leave because it was so horrible.
rarely have i seen such bad acting outside of a highschool drama performance, and i have never left during a movie.. thing is, i love going to the movies, so it was a major disappointment.
have you seen any good ones lately?

Don't know, but far to much Euro's.
I think I would be halfway a millionaire when I received a wage for the wasted hours. -

Are you responsible for others?
by SpiceItUp inthe same reason that ray franz wrote his book got me thinking.
he mentioned that if you saw someone doing something harmful in some way would you warn them or would you let them be completely responsible for themselves.
say that they don?t realize what they are doing is harming them or unhealthy, would you try to take steps to help them?

It depends, I think that I would give my opinion/ a warning, when they are obvious unknowing, what the other party is doing afterwards is their business.
When they WANT my more substantial help I will give it. (but I prefer to be 'a ship that pass in the night) -

When is it time to put down a pet?
by Mindchild ini'm rather sad today.
i've been putting off taking my old dog (14 years old) to the vet because i knew the news wasn't going to be good.
it was even worse than i thought though.

Your pet is a sweety, when she was mine, I would put her down when she (obvious) no longer enjoyed living (not earlier).
If possible, take a pup or an adult dog while she is living - it is what I did, with the result that I now have 3 dogs, te oldest 10 years (and sometimes limps due to old age)
wish you wisdom in your choice.

Elsewhere, in my own language - Dutch - the name of our country is officially "Nederland".
In French it is "La Pays Bas"
In German "Niederlanden"
which all means (translated) The Low Lands - becauce most of the land is below sea level. -

THE CELL PHONES of ELDER'S
by Blueblades in.
when they call their number is blocked out.this makes them unavailable when you want to call them.don't even try to call them after 9pm at bethel,no matter what the emergency!they only call you to get you to come to the meetings and go out into field service!.
so now we turned on ( acr ) anonymous call rejection, which allows us to reject calls from callers who have blocked the display of their telephone numbers.now my number will not ring and the caller will hear a message that instructs them to hang up and remove their blocking and call again.. since we did this, elders are not calling us anymore.as i said they want to know your number,so they can call you to come to meetings, otherwise they can't be bothered.they give their cell number to a select few only.the congregation as a whole don't have the elders cell phone numbers.don't try to get them at bethel either, once they know who is calling they hit the ignore button in their head.. really, i can't be bothered by the elders calling me about the same old same old line.but for those who really need some kind of help or information about whatever, this shows that they are not truly shepherds of sheep.. blueblades
