Hi Viv,
Never mind telling my name, I think I'm lost (for them) anyway, and most likely they think it too.
You are really vengeous (I sead it before) LMAO.
Don't think they will be back next week. They will tell in the hal they had a very interesting talk to somebody at the door and then they get a bucket with cold water over their head: Never go back to that wicked address anymore......

Do You Think That Jehovah's Witnesses Are Basically Good People?
by minimus inthere's a lot of jw bashing here.
we've all been affected by negative things because of the organization.
but do you think that as a group, jehovah's witnesses are bad, or do you think that most of the witnesses that you know are inherently good people??

By the way, telling all of this wil sure blow my cover. In our congragation my family-history is well known. They even told about us at the big meeting. CW

I read all your comments and found in every one something I agreed with. ... I think, with most of you that JW's are not automatical "good" but they are good willing. In every organisation there is bad and wrong, and it is a personal struggle to keep at the "right" side.. Being a JW child, yes, i think Dedalus is right - they are hearing so much over death that they see the world with different eyes. I was just (still are but not for long) for 5 years a withness. They come visiting my mother for more then 40 years and when she finally decided to go on with the withnesses (after my father died) I went with her to be sure that she did'nt buy everything that they told her. We (family) were no members of any church but my father was and he had a big part raising us. The name Jehovah was familiar to us. I was'nt smoking or doing anything they forbid and what I heart over the bible did match what my father told me - and there were things I likes very much. ..... Then and still I decided that there was only one book worthy to study - but okay, when other people wanted all that magazines if that's what they want, why not...... When they babtised me (with several others ofcourse) we had to answer two questions "do you want to be a follower of Jezus and do you want to be closer to the organisation?" On that last question I did not answer, but being in a group, nobody mentioned. I wanted to be a member of that group of persons - the organisation in Brooklyn did'nt mean anything to me....Viv knew, and was very upset and worried about - I could stay as a withness till there was a personal conflict: Viv's getting out - but it was stil easier to stay then leave (my mother was a withness till she died - but in my opinion in the same way as I was/am: Viv has allways been very wellcome and dear to her - and she had 11 grandchildren in total - at the end none withness at all) Summararized, without conflict situations you can stay a JW, else it cost you enormous pain to do what "they" expect from you. And I think that it is very difficult to not-obeying Jehovah when "they" told you it is God himself asking it from you. That's the point: Brooklyn never tells that they want something, they allways put Jehovah's shoes on............. and when you are a truly serious believer, then you are in big trouble............ Good for you that you just did what you wanted, but I missd this part: "did you like the taste ?" As a child we used to eat kind of meat - made from blood and tongue - and it was disgusting, so I won't eat it anymore. Country Woman

Hello, I am Vivamus' Mum and new to the board
by Country_Woman ini am vivamus' mum, and i have heard so much about you, that i'd like to meet you all myself.
i joined the witnesses in 1998, but i have always doubted the organization, but not the faith.
i am still jehovah's witness, but i am sure that the elders will kick me out as soon as possible, should they know what my real thoughts about the organization are.

somebody/gwen Well, when you feel the need to call me Mom, be free to do so, (but there is a possibility that I don't understand that your addressing me)............... and yes, Viv is a strong woman. ... Becky, when you visit Amsterdam, I am sure you will meet Viv and me just let us kow when you are arriving. Reborn 2002 ?......... I agree, Viv is well informd and I have'nt the slightest chance NOT to discuss doctrines a.s.o. with her. I even asked her (a year ago) to close her mouth and let me my beliefs but that was talking to deaf ears: she keeps telling me a lot of things I did'nt want to hear, as a result I am here today....... with no faith (not even the small part I had) in the organisation any longer . and I feel fine....... Gumby, just that I am a tall woman. I searched the conversion tables and found that 1 metre = 3.281ft which make 1.75 metre 5,74175 ft. (which means nothing to me at all - remember, I'm Dutch) till next time, Country Woman

Gumby, This is the first time that anyone ever calls me a "little doll" but it sounds very pretty. I have to disappoint you: I am nearly 1.75 meter (used to be 1.78 meter, due to my age) (but I got the message) "I'm the one who told Viv I wanted to go dancing with you.....but you live so darn far away! She IS a doll and I'll bet you are too. " So sorry to read this: Viv told me and actially it did the trick that I want to tell things for myself on this forum. You are so right about thinking and search for yourself - and this (posting and meeting) is so nice..... And second granny ?? I do have the age but Viv is my only daughter and she has no children yet (or even an onoffial husband) so that has to wait for a while. much regards, and again thank you very, very much.
