I thought this discussion was over, but apparently you want to keep it alive by making false accusations. A review of my posts in this thread will clearly reveal that I have never attempted to excuse Mr. Tyson's public behavior, and I've never blamed it on the media either. Why have you chosen to mischaracterize my statements?The only point I've been trying to make is that we should not judge someone's character unless we are confident that we have all the facts necessary to make such a judgment. It is my opinion that there are insufficient facts available to the public to make such a judgment. It appears that you believe you can judge someone's character based solely on media coverage. We won't agree on this, so there is no need to discuss it further.
Hopefully this is easy enough for you to understand.
What I understand is that personal insults, mischaracterization of other's statements, and an apparent egotistic attitude won't help you win debates, but it certainly does shed light on the nature of your personality.The conduct you've exhibited in this thread reminds me of the conduct of JWs I was forced to associate with as a child. These are clearly statements of opinion, rather than facts.It's a shame that many here attack a person who already is the subject of a media assault. My JW experiences taught me not to buy into everything I read. Apparently, others here have yet to learn that lesson.
BTW, the fight will go on. Las Vegas is the real loser, because this fight is likely to be the biggest purse in boxing history.

One point relating to your initial post in this thread. I'm not sure about the laws of Canada, but in our state and in most of the states of the US, parents have no right to stop their minor children from receiving a blood transfusion if the child's physician deems it necessary to save that child's life.
It is unfortunate indeed that governmental intervention is sometimes necessary to save a child's life because his/her parents place the interests of the WTBTS corporation over the well being of their children.

The JW kids do get the short end of the stick. You forgot to mention the beatings for not being able to sit still at meetings, exploitation of children in JW marketing efforts, forbidden involvement in school sports and activities, inhibited social development via exclusion of "worldly" associations, and discouragement of higher education. To sum it up, JW's work hard to prepare their children to fail in life. Unfortunately, they've been quite successful at it.

Be careful not to dress too provocatively, or you'll find yourself getting "shepherding calls" (personal visits) from the elders. I would suggest a baggy lime green polyester dress that covers from your neckline to your ankles. Also, be sure not to shower or comb your hair that day. Appropriate attire can most often be found at your local Salvation Army thrift store.
I recommend a smoking session in the parking lot to help you cope with the exhaustive exposure to mindless bibble babble you're going to experience.
Finally, it'll go faster if you get involved. Study the watchtower before you go, and make sure to raise your hand on every question. If you don't know the answer, just say "Jehovah," and they'll give you credit for getting it right. Also, when you're done answering, hang on to the microphone for as long as you can, thereby requiring the droid to think of a way to get it from you each time. Besides entertaining yourself, you'll be helping to stimulate thought in the poor droid's head!
