Would you ever come back for someone you loved?

if there was someone you were crazy about who went back to associating with jw's again and they asked you to come back too, only because to live dividedly for the rest your life would be just too hard and awkward.

keep in mind your role would be very limited, few meetings a month, couple hrs service a month etc.. i know "if" this was before me i would feel that i would never ever want to come back.

i don't believe it is the truth, can't stand the control among other reasons.

My mind is saying one thing, but my heart is saying something else. If I went back I could never last, I just really really hate that organization and what it has done to me and to many others.

What percentage were born jw's to those who were not?

after taking a count of my last 3 congregation phone lists 85% of those on the lists were born as jw's.

what do you think that says about jw having the true religion?

doesn't that mean that if you were not born into a jw family your as good as dead?

The Idiocy of the Universal Sovreignty Issue

does anyone else have trouble processing the logic behind the wts issue of universal sovreignty?

why empower satan to make claims and give him the time and circumstances to prove his claims?

why have a bet between 2 people decide the fate of the universe?

I was always taught if you have the power to help someone and you don't your just as guilty. I.E. Say someone threw a man in a lake knowing that he couldn't swim and just walked away, but then there was another guy there who could throw a lifesaver in to rescue him but decides to wait a good half hour for no apparant reason. Well since that man cannot swim, he dies. Who is responsible? The guy who threw him in the lake or the guy who waited to throw him a lifejacket? Answer is Both.

So how can anyone respect the god of the witnesses? Esp. since every single one of us logically would save that drowing man right away.

what kind of an example are we setting for young witness girls regarding modesty?

i personally think she looks nice, although maybe she should try for some darker colors; but because of her jw affiliation, it justs makes one stagger at the double standards.

How do you feel towards JW's and the organization ? on July 18,2003

some of us have been out awhile, some of us may have just left, some of us still on the fence.. how do you feel towards the jw's and the organization right now, july 18, 2003.. compassion, hurt, hatred, anger, sorry, bitterness, helpless, robbed, cheated, or any other feeling you can think off.

which one describes your situation best ???????????.

all of us feel and handle situations with family differently, yet we are so much the same.. the day may come when family comes to you and says those dreaded words ........... " i can no longer have any association with you, not even on the telephone.".

I truly hate the org and what it has done to millions of people, man, so many are so unhappy and miserable, yet they stick around based on fear. That said there are many good and decent people inside that I just wish would "see the light" and make a courageous stand and get the hell out of there.

Do JW couples really have better relationships?

are jw marriages any better than the ones 'in the world' as they put it?

when they walk from door to door or mingle after a meeting they appear to be models of ideal marriages.

do you have any experiences with married couples in the 'truth'?

I can honestly say knowing so many jw married couples, because I had been in 10 different cong's. It would seem to me without a doubt more than half are unhappy. They feel so locked into something that in most cases will never work out( speaking of the unhappy ones), plus they probably have some animosity towards the org for making them stay in an unhappy marriage. That really is the height of selfishness when both married partners want out for their own sanity and happiness and they org will not let them.
