  The crazy thing about shunning a disfellowship jw is that many many more people than just the df'ed person is being punished. Mother, father, daughter, son, brother, sister, etc... are also being punished because if it were up to them they would never shun a loved one. But since they are told to they do, or else they too would be df'ed. So though these ones never commited any serious sin they are being punished as well, how fair is that?

  I went on this jwmatch once just to see how stupid it was. I posted my picture and wrote down some lame stuff. I RECIEVED 63 EMAILS!! Wow I really feel sorry for these strange people.

  Update on study with Elder....

  i took the advice of the forum and informed him i wouldlike to study the bible.

  he arrived case in hand and pulled out the draw close to jehovah publication.. i said i thought we were going to study the bible...he then said well this is a bible publication...i said has not past publications contained errors and changes in teachings while the bible remains true.

  he said yesssss.......do you have something inparticular you want to look at in the bible.....i said i thought we could start in matthew and work our way through.

  how is it that that some thing once believed to be true can now be rconciled to error.

  Just because someone, yes imperfect HUMANS, which does include the governing body "believes" something to be true, does not nessecarily make it truth. What these and many other men did was dig deeper to see if these things were so, yes much like the boreans did and found them to be false. At one time I thought the moon was made of cheese, but through observation and study I found this to be false. So just because someone believes something it doesn't mean they always have to believe it especially when evidence prooves otherwise.

  Matrix Theory - Your input please

  ok... i have to admit that i have been obsessing over the movies the matrix... especially after the second one where some odd things happened.

  agent smith was replicating in the matrix, neo was "feeling" and stopping the sentinels in the real world, agent smith copied himself into a human in zion.. now i normally don't obsess over movies... i usually just watch them once and then move on... no big deal.

  but this time i have been trying to figure out all of the odd things about the matrix.. i wanted to throw my theories out for everyone to examine and see what you all think.... here goes... remember in the first movie when neo went to see the oracle?

  if there were such a thing at vegas, what would you put the odds at that a caring god exists?
