  Too many changes mean more changes to come

  i just joined this site after researching the recent 'new light" my daughter is an unbaptized witness, as well as her husband and my grandchildren.

  i was baptized in the 80s but i am inactive for years now because of changes and inconsintancies etc.. .

  if the sheep and the goats teaching has been changed to happen after the great tribultaion, or after armageddon then this would mean that everyone would not be seperated or judged until after armageddon has occured.

  Thank you Braincleaned for the thought and link.

  I'm not sure jumping into another structured organisation is the right move for me right now. I suspect what I need to do is just clear my head and free myself of the debris left by the 'org' and do some simple experiments with God. Just God,. and Jesus, nothing else.. Not too interested in human opinions and 'versions' of what God is or is not. I want to allow God to have a chance to just speak for Himself for a change. I need to have my own real experience of Him I think. Yes, that's exactly what I need.

  It is indeed an insanely difficult position to find oneself in when you open your eyes and see just what crazy things we have been taking on sheer trust and faith with the leaders of that organisation. None of what they say can be proved or verified.. we must believe it simply because they themselves tell us it is true. Throughout the 130 years of witness teachings they have taken more twists and turns then a drunk snake.

  It is sheer lunacy of the highest order. The wickedest of grand deceptions. We have been deceived and lied to at the deepest level imaginable. And we all trusted in them. That is what hurts. It knocks one off balance so badly that it can take years if ever to get oneself straight again. One is left not knowing what to believe any more.. not knowing what is true and what is not true.. one no longer is sure of what God thinks any more.. one's entire faith is shaken to the very foundations.. if not broken entirely. One is left feeling great anger at the betrayal. Where does one go after is avery good question. I have not worked that out for myself either yet. Right now I am nowhere.. in a kind of limbo.. not sure which way to turn or if indeed I should turn anywhere at all. I too still believe in God and Jesus.. and the Bible, but very little else. I think i have stopped looking for something.. and am waiting for something to find me. Despite this uncomfortable uncertain feeling of no longer knowing where I belong I am glad that I am free of the prison that was my time in 'the truth'.. and being set free like a bird from a cage that held it captive there is a certain fear on experiencing real freedom of thought, choice and action for maybe the very first time. It's exciting.. challenging.. full of uncertainty and mystery.. but I like it. It feels right like nothing in 'the truth' ever did. For the first time in a long time I feel like me.. like I am really and truly beginning to find myself and know who I am. My great adventure starts now..

  I'am in the Penalty Box! I asked the Circuit Overseer "Who Donates Blood For Jehovah's Witnesses Blood Fragments".

  told my husband to put a muzzle on my mouth over the blood dogma.

  we all were driving around in field service when the topic of "which fragments would you take if you were in a car accident or cut yourself badly".

  said his choice is a personal one, another sister with chronic health problems said she had no problem with the governing body's new light on taking various fragments.

  how are the society so happily selling off it's brooklyn real estate for untold millions to clients that they teach and believe will soon have their newly purchased properties pulverised and themselves incinerated when armageddon comes.. should they not be honest and tell all prospective buyers that they won't be owning those properties for very long?

  not a word.. they are just happy to take their truck loads of cash though.

  that's about as disingenuous as it gets.

  Should they not be honest and tell all prospective buyers that they won't be owning those properties for very long? Not a word.. they are just happy to take their truck loads of cash though. That's about as disingenuous as it gets. How can you be selling high priced tickets on a ship that you know is about to sink? Is this what is meant by 'witholding truth' from those that don't deserve to know it?

  e hearst/common/author_name.tpl article_timestamp.tpl march 25, 2013. alameda county supervisors have really taken to heart the adage that government should run like a business, rewarding county administrator susan muranishi with the wall street-like wage of $423,664 a year.. for the rest of her life.. according to county pay records, in addition to her $301,000 base salary, muranishi receives:-- $24,000, plus change, in "equity pay" to guarantee that she makes at least 10 percent more than anyone else in the county.. -- about $54,000 a year in "longevity" pay for having stayed with the county for more than 30 years.. -- an annual performance bonus of $24,000.. -- and an additional $9,000 a year for serving on the county's three-member surplus property authority, an ad hoc committee of the board of supervisors that oversees the sale of excess land.. like other county executives, muranishi also gets an $8,292-a-year car allowance.. muranishi has been with the county for 38 years, and she's 63. when retirement day comes, she'll be getting a lot more than a gold watch.. that's because, according to the county auditor's office, muranishi's annual pension will be equal to the dollar total of her entire yearly package - $413,000.

  she also has a separate executive private pension plan, for which the county chips in $46,500 a year.. "and she's worth every dime," said supervisor scott haggerty, who was on the board when it promoted muranishi to county administrator in 1995, voted for her and joined in approving her base pay and perks.. "we're lucky to have her," haggerty said.. he likens the job of running the county administration to being ceo of a $2.4 billion corporation, with 9,000 employees.. granted, the $2.4 billion is taxpayer money, and the county isn't set up to turn a profit.

  WASHINGTON: Hillary Clinton is reportedly earning a whopping $ 200,000 per speech, nearly six months after she stepped down as US Secretary of State.

  Hillary, 65, is earning $ 200,000 a night in the lucrative world of professional speech-making, according to the Washington Post.

  Clinton hit the circuit a few months after leaving office this year amid speculation that she might pursue a run for the White House in 2016.

  Her first speech, the National Multi-Housing Council in Dallas in April, was delivered around the same time that fellow possible 2016 candidate Jeb Bush was giving a speech in Dallas, US media reports said.

  Election ethics laws prohibit politicians in office from giving paid speeches, but it's fairly common for those out of office.

  Hillary's husband and former president Bill Clinton has racked up over $ 100 million in speech fees, according to the New York Times.

  It is reported that he received $ 700,000 from just one event in Nigeria last year, bringing his annual earnings from speech to $ 17 million in 2012.

  I agree with the 'personal experience' reason.

  When the organisation hurts you deeply and personally.. when you feel let down by it, when you experience it's indifference towards you, ignored, marginalised, betrayed, lied too, deceived, when your own sense and intelligence are insulted again and again. That's when you have no choice but to step away. To remain would make you party to your own demise and destruction and madness.

  who signed your blood card?

  two elders in my congregation signed mine bc hubby couldn't bear the repercussions of either 1- saving my life by allowing the blood transfusion, which would probably lead to him being df'd, and 2- me dying bc he did not allow the blood transfusion and having my parents call him a murderer.. isn't that so nice?

  when i most wanted him to represent me, he didn't have the guts, even hypothetically.... so, who signed your blood card?.

  Mine was never signed by anyone. It remained blank. I had several different elders try to make sense to me the societys current view of the blood issue. They all failed. It made no sense what so ever.

  I rencently trashed the card and all the paperwork that went with it.

  the title of this thread is the title of a chapter in the book by richard dawkins that i'm really enjoying in spite of or perhaps because of it having been written for young people.
