Books wanting to get rid of

all virtually brand new.

anyone who wants these books in australia can either pick them up in brisbane, or i can post them to you if you pay for the postage.

THE CURRENT FADING OF BRAND NAME "THE WATCHTOWER"

the current fading of brand name "the watchtower" & the rise, rise, rise of jw.org.

the watchtower as brand name is in the process of being imperceptibly faded from visibility in the organization.

who'd have thought you could make a watchtower fade and disappear?

The site jw.org site may seem slick and shiny to someone that's lived in a cave the last 20 years never seen the internet before. It's name, layout and design are all corny and it's content condescending and an insult to the intelligence.

jw.org is consulted by hundreds of thousands around the world and is highly regarded by researchers

Maybe if those researchers are 12 years old..

The Ravings of Trolls Distracts FOCUS From Real Watchtower Scandals

my thread was inspired by gentledawn's insightful comment about the effect the events in wales had on her jw husband.... hope any lurkers out there can filter out the signal (storys and experiences like this) to noise (the current trolls running amok on the forums) ratios.

this the problem with those who focus on outrageous fantasies about the watchtower.

it distracts from the real issues that need to be highlighted.. what happened in wales was for real.

So so true...

Many people on waking up to the TATT completely forget and seem to completely skip the duty they now have to make amends. Perhaps we should take a lesson from steps 8 and 9 of Alcoholics Anonymous.

Steps 8 and 9: Making Amends

Step 8: “Made a list of all persons we had harmed and became willing to make amends to them all.”

Step 9: “Made direct amends to such people wherever possible, except when to do so would injure them or others.”

Although I was personally suckered and duped (mostly due to my own desire and need to believe in something) for about just 3 years back in the very early 80's (when I first started studying) and then much later for a year. (I spent 26 years away and went back to take a second look and saw right through it all) I know that the first thing I did when I left was to go to all my interested persons and Bible studies and tell them that I was wrong and that everything I believed and told them was true is in fact a whole crock of lies. It was my absolute responsibility to do this and I did so with around 14 people. They are all well distanced from the Borg in every way now. That was my making amends. It has to be done. It clearly seems to me that it should be everyone's duty to this.

And Focus.. despite many here having a bash and a poke at you. I can see an awful lot of sense in what you say and where you are coming from.

for those that are not familiar with her she is the 'emanuel' that designed probably the most famous wedding dress in history for the late princess diana.

she is a wonderful sweet lady and i do all her events and fashion shows.

i did a behind the scenes & launch party shoot for british fashion designer elizabeth emanuel's new luxury women's blouse collection a couple of days ago.

for those that are not familiar with her she is the 'emanuel' that designed probably the most famous wedding dress in history for the late princess diana.

she is a wonderful sweet lady and i do all her events and fashion shows.

I did a behind the scenes & Launch Party shoot for British fashion designer Elizabeth Emanuel's new luxury women's blouse collection a couple of days ago. For those that are not familiar with her she is the 'Emanuel' that designed probably the most famous wedding dress in history for the late Princess Diana. She is a wonderful sweet lady and I do all her events and fashion shows. I met British actor Edward Fox that evening (Gandhi (1982, Shaka Zulu (1986), The Importance of Being Earnest (2002), and my favorite The Day of the Jackal (1973). An absolutely charming gentleman.

The show was in association with Thresher & Glenny, founded in 1755, is one of the world's oldest surviving tailors, shirt makers and outfitters. The company has held Royal Warrant as shirt makers to the Bristish Royal Household, and the company has original Royal Warrants dating back to George III in 1783.

its the simplest way to describe what believers do.

we simply give the "god" of the bible a free pass.

Hello there Sam! Glad you are feeling better and are back home from the hospital..

Why go back to meetings if you don't even believe in it and don't want to get reinstated? If the elders too know that what is then the point of putting yourself through al the shunning that will most definitely follow? Are you ready for that?

Focus your anger on those responsible for formulating the policies, not those once taken in by them who have now changed their minds.

There may be a point that most are missing here. True the majority here have changed their minds and beliefs and no longer adhere to WT practices.. this does not mean they are not responsible and completely innocent ('I was just following orders' or 'I was duped') for what they spent years and often decades teaching and promoting in the past. All the shunning they too willingly did.. all the committees they (elders) were part of.. all the poor children and whole families they raised in the Borg with iron resolve. All the people they preached to and also duped and deceived with what they now claim they themselves were duped and deceived with.

As those responsible for formulating the policies are no longer alive It could be that Focus is taking issue with those here (right or wrong) that were the foot soldiers for and took a great part in this 'work'.

Just a thought...
