  Mic duties are one of those great spiritual privileges that you have to work a decade or two to earn. Akin in honour to handling the ark of the covenant.

  Another ridiculous one was the hall door attendant. It was his specially assigned privilege to say hello to people as they entered the hall. Only a brother of good standing and mature spiritual qualifications was allowed to greet you at the door. Qualified to say 'hello'?

  Only an empty and pointless organisation that has no genuine spiritual value or meaning what so ever could contrive to add spiritual significance to holding a door open or cleaning a toilet.

  Sad and pathetic.

  i have two.. luke 4.

  16 he went to nazareth, where he had been brought up, and on the sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was his custom.

  he stood up to read, 17 and the scroll of the prophet isaiah was handed to him.

  Because of my experience with the witnesses I an unable to even touch let alone read a Bible. The thought alone gives me a bad taste in my being. It feels ruined for me. I can't even think about reading it again. I feel kind of failed by it.

  Or maybe it's God I feel dissapointed in. I am starting to accept the fact that maybe he just does not care.

  I have said a thousand things that contradict the governing body and all the elders both in person, by email and phone. No one has come after me. Perhaps because the only material I ever used was their very own literature and statements. There is simply no way they can talk their way out of it or refute anything.. as every word was from their very own governing bodies mouth.

  anyone read the "fat girl's guide to life"?

  i am reading it right now and finding it pretty interesting.

  it makes me think outside the box a little bit about how much money is spent on products for people to lose weight, and how much money saturates the market and influences so much of the media.. the author's attitude is one i try to have-- exercise, be balanced in eating habits, drink water, take nutrition supplements, and don't obsess over dieting & what the scale says or about other people's judgements toward my weight.. right now, i already know why i am overweight-- i am eating to deal with my bipolar issues.

  how can you leave god's organization to celebrate the work of satan the devil?

  it just goes to show you how jehovah's christian witnesses are correct about how persons will leave the truth for their own selfish desires.. first off, christmas is a pagan holiday and it proves no spirit with the almighty jehovah and his son, the christ.
