I don't know why she didn't include it. I guess she forgot, she usually includes it.

Integ: Plan on doing that this afternoon. The Watchtower said Urine was the healthiest thing we could drink. Putting back lots and lots of vitamins and protiens into our bodies. They have got to be right, they are after all Jehovah's Faithful and Discreet Slave.

My comment: While I do agree with the respect your elders (those older than you) part, that is about all I agree with.
My most recent motto goes well with this. God left the Saducess and Pharisees in charge of his people back in the day but that doesn't mean that they were always right. If Jesus obeyed the Saducees, he wouldn't have done half of the things he did. I think we should obey God as ruler rather than man, just like Jesus did. But that of course, is merely my opinion.

Our Leader has given the congregations "gifts in men." (Eph. 4:8) Our attitude and actions toward them speak volumes as to whether we accept Christ's leadership. It is only right that we 'show ourselves thankful' for the spiritually qualified men that Christ has given. (Col. 3:15) They also deserve our respect. "Let the older men who preside in a fine way be reckoned worthy of double honor," wrote the apostle Paul. (1Tim. 5:17) How can we display our gratitude and esteem for the older men - elders, or overseers - in the congregation? Paul answers: "Be obedient to those who are taking the lead among you and be submissive." (Heb. 13:17) Yes, we are to obey them and be submissive, to yield, to them.
OK, Discuss.

Wow that was a pretty complete list. Didn't realize you could get it down to a top ten, but you covered it. Good show.

Being "Smart" will not prevent one from following the WTS
by onacruse inthis weekend, while katie and i were at the beach, we both spent a little time reading coc (no, it wasn't a study lol ...i can honestly say that i did not favor the disfellowshipping decision made by the [governing] body.
for when the vote came i conformed to the majority decision.
i felt dismayed when the body assigned me to prepare mateiral in support of the decision, yet i accepted the assignment and wrote it as was desired by the body...my belief in the organization as god's only agency on earth caused me to do what i did at that time without particularly great qualms of conscience.. .

I totally agree. I know so many intelligent people in the congregations around. My husband and I have often discussed, why can these people be so smart and not see what is right in front of their face. For some, I believe it is the need to be accepted by others and for the others I believe it may be that they are in their comfort zone and don't want to leave it.

your catch phrase
by SpiceItUp inso i'm sitting here at work and it just dawned on me that i use the same phrase over and over subconsciously.
in my job i have lots of people that thank me on the phone and for some reason instead of saying "your welcome" (which i do use occasionally) i say "not a problem" or "no problem".. what is your little catch phrase that you subconsciously use?.

I feel the exact same way. I am a peace keeper by nature (probably cause I grew up around so much argueing). I usually think of it as doing something I hate with my parents because THEY enjoy it. Just like if my mom had a day long crocheting seminar or my dad wanted to go golfing, neither of which I have interest in. I would suggest agreeing to go for one day (the day that interferes less with your plans, like maybe Friday at least you won't be at work) with them and insisting you all go out for dinner afterward so you will get to spend some time with them away from the assembly. If they ask about turning your back on Jehovah, you can always spew some crap about being stumbled by a brother or sister. Saying Stumbled always automatically gets their sympathy. Wierd but it works. You will probably get a speech about how you shouldn't let a human come between you and JAH, but you can just insist it is too painful for you to discuss at this juncture.
Of course, you could just say screw it and deal with the results. If you can do that, more power to you. I hope it turns out better than expected.
BEST OF LUCK!! (oh, I am not supposed to use that term "Luck" am I?)
BEST WISHES!!

Has the Society ever considered night witnessing?
by Holey_Cheeses*King_of_the juice. init could have merit.. consider - we have night tennis, night golf and a host of other nighttime activities that have proven successful.
so why couldn't the org arrange for a nightshift of witlessing?
those people that are recorded as nahs during the day, would surely be at home in the evening, and, the later the brothers called, the better chance they would have of finding someone at home.. i'm sure there would be many honest hearted individuals who would welcome being woken at 3 a.m. for a solid discussion of fable principles at their front door.
