When a person makes the choice to believe that they have the only "truth" about the unknowable they dismiss all religions and faiths save one. They are 99% athiest. For those who decided to leave such a program which way have you gone? 100% dismissive or have you begun a different path? Are you happier?

What Do The English & Australians Think Of Americans On This Board???
by minimus init seems to me that this board's force comes mainly from our english and aussie friends.
i've read comments that some have gotten annoyed that the society and gb seem to only stress the "american" english in their style of writing.
i'm just curious as to what you think of your american brethren.

Has anyone seen the movie "Reign of Fire?" I think that is a great example of how these brit/Ozzy foriengers
[] see us yanks. "The only thing worse than a Dragon is an American."
Englishman I can see in color FYI

1.4 Billion
by Jayson inthat's the number for wallstreet's settlement for fleecing so many out of so much.
has it ever been that so few have screwed so many?
i know a few characters might see the inside of a country club correction facility (for a little while) but it makes me .

No I agree with you sixofnine. Greed is greed. The 1.4 billon dollar settlement was for the outright lying and misreporting even giving false information about companies by banking firms, Citigroup JPMorgan and others. I'll put up a link later. And you are right investing takes more than the pull of a "one armed bandit." These guys committed fraud though. And 1.4 billion dollars in fines is nothing to them. I hope that the public remembers that.

follower or leader, what are you?
by SpiceItUp ini have noticed on this board that most people either start alot of threads or just respond to them.. someone told me that its because of where individuals get their inspiration.
those that start threads get their inspiration from other sources and those that usually just post to them get their inspiration from the thread subject.. what would you say you are?.
minimus & jh need not respond as we all know what they are .

The Best Reason for freeing Iraq!!
by ThiChi iniraqi prostitutes back on the streets after saddam
baghdad, april 29 (reuters) - um jenan used to wear gold jewellery, tight jeans and see-through blouses to attract vip clients to her apartment in baghdad -- until the masked men in black packed her into a minibus and drove her away.
when they laid out her body in front of her home the next day, she was dressed in loose-fitting sweat pants and a t-shirt.

I'm going fishing in the morning
Does this mean that the Brits will outlaw fishing and hunting all together?
It could be a "brave new world" in the EU.
Now go be a good productive little worker

I know a few characters might see the inside of a country club correction facility (for a little while) but it makes me . What is justice for distorying everything that someone works a lifetime for? Greed is soooo evil! White collar crime is not as "bad" as violent crime IMO. But it is not nessesarly less "evil." I think in some ways it is much more wicked. 1.4 billion is not enough punishment. Not nearly enough to put it behind the public. I hope that those who invest in the markets learn a very valuable lession from this. "Trust no one."
(BTW I did make money in the down market and did not loose anything so this is not a rant about my losses. It is a rant about injustice.)

Christ is alive and well inside of me. But so is the devil.....unfortunatly.
"A young warrior goes to the tribal elder and says that he is constantly being pulled between what he knows is right and what it is that he wants to do, It is like two wolves fighting inside of me, I need to know which will win he says. The elder replies, which ever one you feed."
