why would this "spiritual feast" seem to be anticlimactic?
I wouldn't be surprised if it is more a matter of them reworking the translation so that it says what they want it to say.
I agree, but the "official explanation" really puts the old NWT in a bad light. They are saying it was flawed, not in content, but in general readability. Why can't Jehovah just get it right the first time? What an odd religion.

Is the Watchtower essentially admitting that their translation was difficult to understand? I always hated the wording and it's general clunkiness. Why did it take "God's publishing company" 99 years to publish a "readable" Bible? This isn't new light, it's new lies.

Once again, light or "the light of day" is a metaphor for truth. Theives, who are liars, and drunkards are creatures of the night which is why you don't send young ones into the middle of a city at night. Just as you don't send people into the jungle at night. What's being described here is the difference between people who love the light and people who love the darkness. The "good guys" are the "children of God" and the "bad guys" are "children of darkness." The Logos, who is Truth, comes to separate the sheep from the goats and the wheat from the weeds. These are ALL metaphors for the exact same thing. Lovers of truth vs lovers of the lie.

There is "time" (us) and then there is "before time" (not us). Anything that was "before time" is considered "eternal." According to Christianity the Logos exists "before time" and therefore is eternal. Christ said that many would rise up against him and that's exactly what happened. For thousands of years people have been trying to strip him of his Divine status in order to usurp his power. Many have been decieved by a variety of deceptions. The Watchtower leads the charge, imo.

The Word of God comes from God also, yes... coming out of God, yes... I am not sure what the problem is there.
The problem is that you are claiming that the Word was not introduced until Genesis 1:3 making the Word a finite being (created instead of eternal; starting point). You have changed the nature of the Logos and that goes against John 1:1 which is a foundational scripture for Christianity. You call yourself a follower of truth, yet you teach a lie. You are teaching that darkness just IS and the Word was created. That's not gonna fly with any Christians. You must follow the rules of John 1:1 and place the Word where he belongs or you can't call yourself a follower of Christ. You are free to start a new religion, but you can't call it Christianity while remaining honest.
The Watchtower does the same exact thing. They say that orthodox Christianity is one big deception that draws people away from true worship. When all they are doing is studying the scriptures and coming to the correct conclusions.

Um... He IS the light. He says it Himself. What else do you think that light would be, Sab? It was not the sun or moon or stars... those lights came later.
"Light" is a metaphor for truth because it exposes darkness, or lies. He never said he was the light of Genesis 1:3 which speaks of the separation between day and night. Did Christ ever say, "I am the day?" God said "Let there be light" and Christ is the WORD OF GOD which means he IS the creative word coming out of God's mouth in Genesis 1:3 who was in existence BEFORE the Beginning. That's why he is said to be FROM God, because he is the WORD of God which, like God, is eternal. Christ is THE Creator, not a created being.

No, all things were made THROUGH and FOR Christ which would mean he was involved in the creation of the heavens and the earth in Genesis 1:1. You are saying he was in some sort of embryonic stage which isn't true. Your "he is the light" of Genesis 1:3 is a deception.

Adam never blamed God, he plead his case and he was correct to do so. It was God who said, " It is not good for the man to be alone. " Did Adam ask for a wife? NO! You are not putting yourself in Adam's shoes, you have no empathy for the character and you're putting all the blame on him, which is judgemental and the opposite of what Christ taught. All Adam knew was that what God said appeared to be a lie. His wife ate, which was very brave, and she didn't die. His mind was blown! He was a victim and it's why God had mercy on him by not sending him into oblivion. He gave him the opporunity to make things right. He also took matters into his own hands and provided salvation.

Christ is the LIGHT. God said... let there be LIGHT.
Genesis 1:1 and John 1:1 start with the same exact phrase, "In the beginning."
" In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. "
vs
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."
This shows us that the Logos was present in Genesis 1:1 which means Christ is ETERNAL. You are saying that the darkness was present, but NOT the Logos. That isn't just wrong, it's blasphemy.
