  first, i am married, but the marriage ended 11 years ago.

  no sex, no emotion, just roommates paying the bills.

  i met a wonderful jw gal about a year ago and we have been friends.

  Never thought I would be meet with any real help here, but I tried. I guess this reinforces the fact that religion needs to stay WAY away from a person's emotional life. Does Jehovah smile when he sees tears in my eyes? I think not. But you? I think so. Have a wonderful self centered life.

  Thank you all for the responses, Scary Sherry, you seem pretty hard set on this. When I was growing up, you became attracted to someone and persued it till it you had a relationship or found it to be a bust. In the JW system, you must pass a slew of hurdles and stay within boundaries that really make a relationship hard to establish. YOU in particular, seem to want to discourage me from finding some happiness. Can you tell me why that is?

  First, I am married, but the marriage ended 11 years ago. No sex, no emotion, just roommates paying the bills. I met a wonderful JW gal about a year ago and we have been friends. She is divorced. She is firm in her JW beliefs and I respect that, but I am finding myself falling for her. She is late 50's, I'm early 60's.

  I am afraid to even kiss her for fear she would feel like she had committed a sin and would have to report herself to the elders and go thru the humiliation of that whole process.

  I just want to hold her in my arms and feel the warmth and comfort of being loved. What can I do, and keep her secure in her faith?
