Oh yes...I listen to music while I'm here. There's always music playing here at home (and at work). And you can generally find me singing along. Music does so much for me. It can lift my spirit...work off anger...or set my feet to dancin' (Riverdance is playing...corny as that sounds).

Not a smoker. Never have been...never will be.
I tried dating a smoker. He would go outside to smoke and I swear the minute he stepped back inside that smell would hit me like a cannon. Never again. He would come home from "drinkin' with the boys" and that smell was everywhere. *shudder*
I can't do that again.

Sirona - congratulations on gettting your athame. I've always pronounced it a-THA-may. I don't believe the pronouncation is that important. It would be like the tomato/potato thing.

I do have a concern about the "girlfriend" remark. That's jumping to a conclusion and assuming that you want to be his girlfriend. On a first date? No no no!! He wasn't saying that to "impress his friends". It's what he wants to happen. Isn't it enough that he is out with a lovely woman? Why the "girlfriend" comment? And the joking about marriage? He wasn't joking.
I agree with the others about his drinking. If you noticed it...it's a problem. A problem that will only get worse with time.
Be particular. Never settle. And remember..."if it don't work, jest git a'nuther"
