  THE ELDERS JUST CALLED US, NEED HELP

  the elders just called us.

  one called and another one got on the phone first to ask if my husband would meet with them.

  my husband told them he had nothing to say, and if they are going to make any announcement from the platform that slanders our name in any way we will sue them personally, and if we do meet with them we would only do it if our lawyers come and to tell jr brown and mario marino to come also.

  You want to get a lawyer? DA yourself?

  I read in your earlier posts that you had some friends still in the borganization. I know some of the asses you are proabably dealing with. Trust me, they'll be relentless. Perhaps a new strategy is needed.

  Just contact a lawyer, have him write up something, and they can't DF you or force you to DA, but everyone will still shun you.

  I don't know who you are, but I met a lot of people from where you're at, and I know what you're up against.....I'll be thinking baout your family.

  Stay calm. Don't get too upset. THEY ARE NOT WORTH YOUR DERISION.

  every now and again we discuss on this forum the degree of control that the society enjoys over its members the rank and file.

  that there is huge control is beyond dispute, i would guess.

  but theres more to it than just a simple predatory attitude from brooklyn (though thats there, for sure).

  That's my father all over. For them it's like a warm blanket. My mother, who is DA'ing herself, is quite the opposite. From day one she had problems with elders telling her what to do-she promptly told them where to go. Good ol' mom.

  They become afriad of the Big A, and then they start to fear everything. Dependency and depression result.

  Going out with a bang

  after much deliberation, i decided to go "out" at the end of a public talk.

  it didn't go down too well, but at least i was able to give some of my reasons for leaving.. i've put some of the details on my homepage.

  i'll update it more when i get the time and the strength.

  Mother's Letter To Start Off The New Year...

  i received this letter from my mother over the weekend, it came with a card and a special note to my children.

  i plan to let them read it someday, not today..... silentlambs.

  Teejay,

  I just wanted to say that I'm a young man, and given to rashness. I'm still fighting the JW's, and I'm pretty tired of it. I've reached a good point with my JW parents (they pretty much have just accepted me for what I've become, which is a good man, but not a JW), but my wife's parents are horrible. I think there can be a happy medium reached, in the end, between two people with warring philosophies. Blood is thicker than water, but sometimes other things stand in the way first...hurtful things, like those letters Bill received.

  Guilt is one of the worst things to deal with...it's pity, anger, and disgust rolled into one; let's not forget the humiliation.

  You're right about my having forgotten that JW's are human. I've had to push them from my mind to be able to not be sad about losing them. Day to day life is hard enough without people ruining what little happiness you can find. For me, demonizing the people as a whole has helped me to cope with the ones who villify me.

  I'm also 22, and don't have children to worry about. I have some time to be selfish.

  We (those who aren't objective about the JW's) are just caught up in our own anti-JW frenzy, because we know no good way to deal with it.

  i re-discovered annie haslam after having listened to her on a new age station years ago.

  i just downloaded several tunes, and am in love all over again.. now, i'm a hard rocker by nature it seems, but there's a few artists like annie haslam and enya that just make me melt.. any others out there i should know about?.
