  true objectivity is not anywhere, but a good balance is possible, just not in the borg, as I've seen.

  there has been some more progress on the united nations front and getting more evidence to you very nice people.. for your information i have located an ngo in toronto who houses a small library of quarterly reports that dpi sent to the various ngos.

  this is my first time i have ever seen these and i will have them going back at least 10 plus years.

  my previous ngo friends had offices in new york and thus, did not have these - nor was i aware i could get my hands on them.

  Hey puffs, what Larc said.....I think you're pissed at the JW catch phrases you're hearing, but they don't mean anything now....breaking away is so damn hard, especially for those without a family base....also, she said she was sheltered, so she probably is just beginning to live....it may sound like she's prejudiced against other religions, but she isn't. If you remember, 'christian conscience' is really just 'conscience' to people who've been fed those JW phrases for so long...take it easy on Flower, she's still breaking away...

  i was reading this week the book of jonah and it got me thinking.

  was he a false prophet?

  he prophesied that jehovah would destroy nineveh and it did not come true.

  I understand the paralell, though I don't agree with it. Jonah was one man who made one revisionist prophecy.....the WTBTS has made dozens.

  Besides that, there are current doctrine and rules that are not so great. Some tainted history as well.

  every memorial that i ever attended, all the attendees wore serious or solemn expressions.. for crying out loud, as quoted in the friggin' article, it's supposed to be the commemoration of the death of christ!.

  from all the visible faces in the pictutre below, only three appear to not be grinning.

  my favorite is the guy who appears to be sleeping (he is the one to the left shoulder of the closest attendant).. .
