i enjoy the odd thread about evoloution vs creation, etc but lately it seems that a large percentage of threads here devolve into fighting between atheists and theists and distract from what most of us here see eye to eye on, the wt and related things.
i wish things could be more civil here and fr people to realize that people will never see eye to eye on the topic.
it gets so tiring to see the contstant bickring and fighting on those threads.. they seem to go on page after page but very little of substance is discussed seeing as the existence or non existence of a god can be proven by anyone.

I think that you put much more restrictions on the evangelist than the atheist.
If an evangelist states that they believe XYZ is required for salvation, it is not their fault if it hurts someones opinion. They are stating their belief. If you do not agree with their position, why do you care?
Calling someone names is just plain rude. I hold to my previous position. Over the years, I generally see atheist engaging in more name calling.

How does a top-down organization that claims to take a literal view of the Bible survive without any justification of their authority?

we have had a variety of theist vs atheist debates on this forum.
usually, it devolves (or evolves?
) into a debate on what can or cannot be proven.. so let's step back a second.

Not all of its infinite nature is just size. jgnat's posts have explored the complexity of social interactions that have not been explained.

WMF. There exist a great deal which will never be explained by science given its finite nature. What are we supposed to do with it? Ignore it? Deny its existence?

OK A challenge for the show-me-the-evidence atheist. Science is a finite body of knowledge. As a process of discovery, it is limited by building off that body of knowledge.
If the universe is infinite, how are we supposed to explore its infinite nature? Are we supposed to ignore it? Deny its existence?
