The last meeting you ever went to.......

did you stay for the whole thing?
what made you realize that this was your last meeting, or did you not know it would be your last meeting??.

I stopped going to the meetings at the Kingdom Hall nine years ago. I was fading at the time, but couldn't take it anymore, so my last meeting at the KH, I walked out of the door and never went back. I haven't been to the Memorial since, my conscience wouldn't let me reject Jesus the way they they do. I would go to the Assemblies to keep my JW husband company on the long drive and to keep up with the "new light". So the Special Assembly day this past weekend, was my LAST meeting EVER.....FREEDOM!!! This is why. Before that I was treated cordial by the JW's, so I'd go with my hubby. But this last assembly I was snubbed big time! I felt something was wrong, but I really didnt' take much notice(JW's can be finicky:-). But when one of my so called friends saw me, she looked at me like she's seen a ghost, wouldn't talk to me and she couldn't get away from me fast enough. I knew then I was being shunned!! As far as I know I'm not DF. Unless hubby failed to enlighten me. I wonder which one of my "sins" against the Watchtower got found out, I hope it was a good one LOL!!! So next time hubby tells me the Assembly is coming up....I'll tell him he can go by himself!!! I'm not taking that abuse!
BTW I didn't tell my JW husband about the snubbing because the less I say about the JW's the better. I try to avoid the JW's as much as possible at the Assemblies, I time it so that we get there right when it starts, leave the assembly hall to go out to lunch(that SA day went for a sandwich and I had a beer:-), I leave right when it's over, so not very much associating with them. But if he asks why I'm not going anymore, I'll tell him. If not, I'll keep my mouth shut....works best.

Find your old Assembly Hall...
by Hecklerboy ini was doing some investigation on google maps for a trip i'm making to pittsburgh, pa next week.. come to find out the the place i'm going is only a few mile from the assembly hall i spent allot of time at as a kid.
looking at this pictures bring back allot of memories.
some good, some bad.. anybody else attend this assembly hall in coraopolis, pa?.

I attend the Coraopolis, PA assembly hall. They've recently remodeled the inside. They tore out the beautiful stone fireplace. Now the inside of the building looks like a cookie cutter version of all that is built by the JW's. There's an assembly this weekend and I think next weekend, if you want to check out the remodel job.

Sir82 that's exactly how I felt! I'd read those articles on how we are all suppose to be happy and I'd wonder what's wrong with me! I felt like such a misfit! I thought it was my falt that I never fit the JW mold, that something was wrong with me. What an evil cult!!!

Do you Know of any JW Pedophiles who Currently Go Out in Service ?
by flipper inmy wife suggested this thread and i agree it's a good idea to put this out here to find out.
just wanted to give her credit for the idea.. most of the public have no idea that some of the jehovah's witnesses people calling at their door are a previously convicted sex offender or pedophile who may have served hard time in prison for their crime.
it would be interesting to have an informal survey here and get an idea of the sheer numbers of these child molesters who are out on the loose.. in your opinion - how would the public react if they knew that child molesters were regularly calling on their doors ?

I know of two in the local congregation that I used to go too. They are both listed as Registered Sex Offenders, and both with minors. The first one, his listing on the sex offender list reads as: "Indecent assult". I know for sure that this was with a minor, it was in the local paper and I know who the child is. The second one on the sex offender list, his reads as; "Lewd & Lascivious With a Child Under 16". They both go out in service. The first one was under house arrest for a year, but before his coviction I know for sure he was regular out in service. I'm assuming now that he's served his time he still goes out. He's regular at meetings, I know that. The second one actually came to my Mom's house while I was there.

JWs having Facebook Sex - Strongly warned to get off FB at CA yesterday
by shopaholic inso it appears that jws are letting their freaky side come out on fb for everyone to see.. there was talk on the ca yesterday strongly warning all true lovers of jehovah to delete their fb accounts.
the talk was solely about fb.
the speaker mentioned that jws are associating with people that would not associate with in real life, often using the excuse that the person is a relative.

This latest "claim" from the GB about all this supposedly FB sex going on is really going to stigmitize the JW's that decide to not follow the "wise" council of the GB and keep their FB accounts. I can see it now, the peer pressure coming from the brothers will be that any JW that has a FB account is having FB sex! Same as how the internet is stigmitized by the JW's, in that anyone using the internet must be into porno!
They are so evil.....in reality we all know they are afraid of the light!

I've always thought, even when I was an active JW, that The GB treats the JW's like little children. I have a FB account as well as my JW hubby. I'm really enjoying all the latest crackdowns and changes. I've given up showing my hubby the truth about the truth. So now I just sit back with my bag of popcorn and enjoy the show LOL!!! Can't wait for him to find out the latest on FB!
BTW....I helped a Catholic Priest fertilze his crops, could I be DF for that? LMBO

My husband is a JW, he has his "No Blood" card prominently displayed in his wallet when he opens it. I am no longer a JW and I am terrified that if an accident should happen to me and I am unable to speak for myself, my wishes that a blood transfusion is acceptable won't be respected. I found an on-line Emergency Medical Identification card that you can fill out with your medical information. You can print the card out and then lamaminate it. It's wallet sized so it's small enough that you can put it behind your drivers licence. I added under the space for medical conditions that I will accept a blood transfusion. Then in the space allotted for Allergies/ Blood type, I then again typed that I will accept a blood transfusion. I highlighted both in yellow so it stands out. There is also larger versions of the card too. I printed several of the larger cards to give to my family.
