My mother is very active- attends all the meetings. We converse almost daily. I always ask her about such things. As of today the rumor you state is unfounded according to her.

several jw's who know about the wt-un affair are saying that in usa the wt is having the elders in the congregations give a speech accepting the blame for this scandal & asking for forgiveness or something similar.

Need help for someone hurting by JW rules.

i have been doing the fade from jw religion for about one year but may soon be d/a myself just before i speek out again the elders about what they are doing to someone close to me.

According to JW law a person who feels uncomforatable can write a letter to the accused. IMHO she could write her ex a letter outlining the occurance of events that lead up to this- his conduct. SHe should do so in a very factual matter (non-emotianal as possible) Lay out his abusive behaviour giving in the letter as much times and dates as possible. She should also solicate written statements from the two witnesses that heard her ex admit to his affair and if possible have them have the statements notatized. Include this as part of her letter. Address the letter to her ex but provide copies to her local body of elders and the society. In so doing they may very well leave the whole issue alone as they hate such doccumetntation and fear legal consequences are being considered. She should probably have some one such as yourself assist her in scripting the letter. It is important to just outline her case to him without sounding angry.
To act in this way now she will allow herself time to deal with how she wants to handle her status with the org in a way that may be more satisfactory to herself and her children. Being inacvtive instead of df'd or da'd allows her jw family to at least communicate with her.

in fact, gen. 1:30 states that all creation ate vegetation.
one could deduce also from the bible that the carnivore/prey cycle is not god's original plan and that possibly it would be done away with in a paradise earth (isaiah somewhere).

mans average life span is increasing.

by minimus inwith so much going on over here, do you think that newbies, lurkers, or potenial apostates could or do get scared off from this place?
if someone is on the fence and they want to explore the internet and are warned that all you'll see are disgruntled apostates, could these forums make them think the "faithful and discreet slave" is actually right?

The most popular cable shows are those fo debate- The Orielly Factor and so forth. People are attracted to open honest debate. That point is made clear here on this forum. The hottest threads are the ones with the most dissagreement. All the Ray V. Bill threads were the most popular. Cant hide from that folks. We all love it. If ya didnt you would ignore them and post on other threads.....
