when you go out to eat or for a walk do active jw's shout insults or attack
by topanga inthis is a regular thing now, whenever i go into an upscale restaurant a bunch of jw's start shouting insults and bring up things about my past.. recently i went in to a restaurant i've been dying to try on 14th street and someone on the restaurant staff was telling the other staff members all of my business from the brroklyn heights congregation.. he obviously thought i would give a damn about anything they said.
i just relaxed and ignored them.. when i got up to use the ladies room a bunch of the sisters followed me in fortunately the bathroom was way too small for even two people.
they are some sorry souls, i guess it was like i thought we killed her whats she doing in here?

That is really strange behaviour. Most JW's I know are pretty passive and try to avoid confrontation especially with someone they consider to be an "apostate". In this country anyway, most JW's would ignore you or run away like you had the plague.

St. Paddies Day Apostafest -- Seattle

i for one had a great time, for the rest of you that did not make it or lived in a different part of the country, savage buddha really knows what hospitality means, he puts on a spread, let me tell you!

You guys are kewl! yeah it was work, but let me tell you it was definately worth it meeting everyone and talking to people and just relaxing and having a good time. That is what I really like about this board. For me its not about debating and arguing although some of the discussions I find quite interesting. But for me its when I form friendships with people and we become close because we share and know their pain. Its amazing to see people who have never even met get together and enjoy each others company. I guess we just love to entertain. It was a very special time which means there are more to come!!
P.S. Gretchen I'm really glad you came and it was great meeting your brother! I'm sorry I didnt get a chance to say goodbye.

JW references in movies
by stichione ini watched the movie "mickey blue eyes" last night on tv, staring hugh grant.
at one point there is a knock at the door and mickey, looking through the peep hole, anounces "its the jehovah bloody witnesses".
there was more insitent knocking and the female occupant replies "they must be really devoted!".
