Didn't the legal arguments over the Watchtower's child sexual abuse policy also seem compellingly watertight, but subsequently failed to hold up in court?
With all due respect, please provide evidence of the above claim. Also, I believe you are either forgetting or are not aware of the many out of court settlements that were made in which the abuse victims signed gag orders/non-disclosure agreements.

They could be sued by any non-jw family member who claims that their loved one gave up their lives for a doctrine that they believed... based on lies.
If you lie, you lose your freedom of religion protections.

I think some are missing the point. Please read the entire thing. ITS NOT ABOUT THE BLOOD CARD OR COERCING WITNESSES OR SHUNNING. It's about the misrepresentation of medical facts. Which is what they are indeed guilty of and will definately be sued for.

our child goes to an after school child care provide by the local y. it's right at her elementary school, so after class she just goes there to another class room with the other kids and they play games, do homework etc, till we pick her up after work.
she's gone there for two years and liked it.
she has lots of friends at school and gets along with just about everyone.
Did I miss something here? Have you gone to the parents, as parents yourselves, yet? If not, why not?
Hi SF, It's only been four days since we found out and notified the branch office who then made an effort to talk to the parents. We just found out the parents are unresponsive and just shrugged it off, so the admin is will be taking disciplinary action against the two girls (not sure yet what the exact details are) We wanted to give the branch office a chance to intervene and approach the parents before we confronted the parents ourselves.
