the thought of a ransom that was intended to benefit all of mankind, resides exclusively with so few is surely a paradox designed to rob so many of the universal benefits.

there have been posts and topics about the wtbs imploding and feuding factions in bethel etc.
some have said that the end is near for the wtbs.
is this just wishful thinking...or do you really think that this is a reality?
In a work on fundamentalism, a valid point was made, that the more the organisation comes under pressure the more likely they are to entench their position and the majority of members will become more fundamentalist too. I wouldnt anticipate any major event ,that would lead to change. They are more likely to regress to older teaching than progress to new thought.The WTBTS is a fundamentalist organisation it is more likely to behave in a more totalitarian way.
a man's ethical behavior should be based effectually on sympathy,education,and social ties;no religious basis is necessary.man would indeed be in a poor way if he had to be restrained by fear of punishment and hope of a reward after death.. what do you think ethical behavior should be based on?

He was true to himself. The honesty around the use of his technology for purposes he did not agree with restores some faith in humanity.I have learnt from him that we will make mistakes if we honest about them we grow, if we deny them we degenerate. Now thats where religion kills it they create enviroments where it is almost impossible to be honest about what they call bad behaviour.

Dear Witch ,please do not misunderstand me this is not a discussion about denying abused people of their right to advertise their experience ! not at all. To the contrary it is about expressing an opinion in such a way , that it doesnt give the accused any release from their actions. I sometimes wonder if the accused viewed these postings, if they would not enjoy seeing the effect of their handy work!!! Sometimes the contributions would justify their actions from their piont of view.By the way is your chosen name an accurate reflection of what you practise or do you just do it for the anticipated reaction. I understand and agree with your sentiments. However when people are bitter and caustic in their approach to these issues are they any better than those that have hurt them?. I do appreciate that many who have been hurt by ,the at times illogical actions of older men,will have repressed anger. I just feel that if the commentary was a little more dignified it wouldnt detract from the essence of what is being said.

I am new to this board and have reviewed much of what is said. Why are the majority of the postings so bitter and profane? Much of what is said is true but is tainted by the undignified manner in which it is communicated.Maybe it just reflects a state of mind. There never will be an end to bad elder stories, as long as the expectations of these people are based on "works" not love The value of what they render is judged by their visible works only thats why it always goes wrong.
