I always wear underwear with my bike shorts; HOWEVER... my bike shorts are spandex with regular shorts sown over top of them - the new trend. It doesn't show your bits and pieces as much... which are hard to ignore in spandex...
I also wear underwear with them; I have never been irritated by it, and I bike lots. Weird, eh?
