They are shocked when their children grow up and do not want this

    Hi All,

I have been reading the District Assembly posts with fascination. These are sponsored by a religious book publishing corporation that claims to be Divinely directed but denies it's writings are inspired. It used to be managed by those who claimed to be of those remaining of 144,000 anointed but they quit their corporate positions in 2000.

The publishing corporation controls by threat of shunning, follower's beliefs as well as behaviors. In addition to controlling member's thoughts, beliefs, job, spouse, clothing, type of car, hair style, facial hair, reading material, friends, use of leisure time, entertainment, medical treatment, reporting of felonies, and vocabulary, now they want to control choice of travel accommodations and where members can not buy food for their children.

Yet millions suit up and show up with smiles and all carrying books published by the printing corporation. They follow directions and avoid choosing their own hotels and eating at vendors convenient to the convention and they are shocked when their children grow up and do not want this lifestyle for themselves.

    Why?

    Gary

Welcome to the 21st Century Gary.

The little booger-eaters are thinking for themselves at a much earlier age these days.

And sometimes that's not a bad thing.

    Gary,

If you are going to the assemblies this year, please do not carry a cooler for food or save seats with magazines.

    Be a good sport! :-))

Garybuss, that is one of the clearest and most simply put outlines of the Orginization I have ever read. If you don't mind I would like to print it out and give it to my 'worldly' friends and associates to explain the cult. As for the children of J-duds, most of them are smarter than their dud parents, mine was! At 13 my daughter was over their phoney crap. Maverick

Not to hi-jack the thread, but have being out of the loop for a while, have I missed some "direction" on not carrying coolers? First, they quit selling food, then they quit serving food for a "donation". Then they wanted everyone to bring a light lunch. But they didn't want you going out to a restaurant or street vendor. Now they don't want you to bring a cooler?? What do you do with your lunch? I guess most could leave it in their car, but what about those on the buses? Or within walking distance from their hotel/motel? Or in the bigger cities, those that use the subway/rail system?

and don't let your children bring any toys or books that will distract them from Jehovah's spiritual banquet!

So, your child has to sit there hour after hour with only "My Book of Bible Stories" to entertain their active little minds and bodies. This is one piece of advice I never paid attention to. But still, no matter how many toys or books you bring, young children can not sit still for hours on end like their brainwashed parents! Another reason why "their children grow up and do not want this." .... There is hope.
