one thing that stands out for me is how i never went to my own grandmother's burial because, after all she was dead and during the day she died it was on a thursday night and i had 2 parts to handle so i performed them well and at the end gave the congregation, "a progress report" of how my grandmother had been doing since she was in the hospital, suffering from cancer.

that evening i told the congregation that she had died that afternoon.

many people cried at that point but later i was commended by many for not missing a meeting that evening.......

Has the Society ever considered night witnessing?

it could have merit.. consider - we have night tennis, night golf and a host of other nighttime activities that have proven successful.

so why couldn't the org arrange for a nightshift of witlessing?

those people that are recorded as nahs during the day, would surely be at home in the evening, and, the later the brothers called, the better chance they would have of finding someone at home.. i'm sure there would be many honest hearted individuals who would welcome being woken at 3 a.m. for a solid discussion of fable principles at their front door.

most meetings i went to, children were brought to the washrooms in the back to be disciplined.

often i could hear a child yell or cry due to the spanking given by the parent.

people in the hall would have that look on their face meaning that it was alright to discipline a child by spanking him.

Welcome to the board!

Very true about the abuse - it is uncacceptable to spank children if they can't sit for 2 hours without wiggling around. That is abuse. Also, telling kids that they will die at armageddon. Disgusting.

JW Burnout

over the past few months i've had very infrequent contact with my witness friend for a number of reasons.

her social circle, my failed attempts to open her eyes, and the mind control all had a part in our drifting apart.

i've recently heard that she seems to be under alot of stress, to the point where there has been a noticable change in her atitude and physical appearance ( i guess she just looks worn out).
